INTRODUCING OUR NEW ART TEACHER:

INTRODUCING OUR NEW PE TEACHER/ATHLETIC DIRECTOR:

We are happy to introduce Danette Kimmel to Holy Trinity School as our new art teacher. With over twenty years experience in the professional field of art and the past eleven in the elementary art classroom, Danette will bring an exceptional level of training, expertise and hands-on experience to our school. She is enthusiastic about the art world and greatly enjoys instilling children with a heightened level of awareness and appreciation of all forms of art to be discovered in their world.

We are also happy to introduce Julie Hanik to Holy Trinity School as our new physical education teacher/athletic director. With the ability and endorsements to teach Physical Education as well as teaching and coaching experience, she will be a valuable staff member at our school.

Her most recent teaching experience was at St. Joseph School in Addison. We‛re excited to welcome her to Holy Trinity.

As a role model, she will provide motivation and positive encouragement to increase the student‛s self esteem and confidence. Julie feels that communicating with each student is of the utmost importance as an educator while reinforcing the need for healthy lifestyles and physical well-being. Her most recent teaching experience was at Christ the King in Lombard. We‛re excited to welcome her to Holy Trinity.

TRACK AND FIELD UPDATE: Our Holy Trinity/Notre Dame track team just posted one of their best seasons. Although our team is tiny compared to the bigger teams, we can still feel very good about our team‛s standings in the league. Out of the 8 teams which comprise our division, our team ranked 3rd at the end of the season. Our 5th-6th girls ranked 2nd overall and our 7th-8th grade boys ranked 3rd, our 7th-8th girls ranked 4th and our 5th-6th grade boys ranked 6th. Considering that we have such small numbers, we are very proud of the great effort and dedication the team had. We were also proud of our team‛s behavior and attitude. Always polite and a good reflection of our schools. Keep running this Summer and we‛ll be back next year!

SPORTS-A-THON/ PICNIC The Holy Trinity Sportsa-thon will be held on Friday May 29th, the last day of school. HSA will be providing lunch this day to all students. Lunch will consist of hot dogs and other items. Please have your child bring their own lunch if they do not want to participate in the provided lunch. Thanks for all the donations and pledges for field day. In total, we raised $4360 for the P.E. program.
