Dr. Cynthia Arem
Dr. Cynthia Arem, Psychology Professor and author of “Conquering Math Anxiety A Self-Help Workbook with CD” is the keynote speaker. Dr. Arem will discuss the myths that people embrace as to why they can’t do math. She will then briefly outline some effective techniques and facts about being successful. Following Dr. Arem’s presentation, the Arapahoe Community College Math Department will outline several of the courses available to help people with math. A sign-up table will be available for attendees to register for a community education class offered in November based on Dr. Arem’s workbook.
