Margie D’Ambrosio 5485 N. Candle Way Phoenix, AZ 85208 602-355-9898 [email protected] March 28, 2019 Mr. Bruce Swartz Executive Vice President, Physician Integration Common Spirit Health 251 South Lake Avenue #700 Pasadena, CA 91101 Dear Bruce, I am interested in the Chief Access Officer position at Common Spirit Health. I found this advertised on the Dignity Health Careers Intranet. I am currently employed as the Vice President for Patient Access for the Dignity Health enterprise. I am confident that the skills and expertise I have developed in the time I have served in my current capacity makes me the right candidate for the Chief Access Officer position. Similarly to Dignity Health, Common Spirit Health’s Mission to serve the poor and disfranchised in the communities in which they operate, not base access to healthcare on a person’s financial abilities, and deliver medicine through the healing power of Jesus, is the guiding principle as I execute my role. As Vice President of Patient Access, I partner with physicians and community benefits to bring the right blend and balance of access for patients to get into see their doctors as well as offering them a host of community programs to help those with social determinants that impact their health status. To meet the challenges confronted in my position, I have developed well-rounded, collaborative relationships that span departments, community partners, and numerous employees and vendors that go across the three states Dignity Health operates. My ability to influence and lead people through change is a core competency for me and I believe it to be a fundamental need to drive the results I have obtained. I am poised to scale these efforts across the twentyeight states Common Spirit Health occupies. Additionally, my background and experience in medical clinic operations gives me an advantage in gaining the trust of physicians to join me in my efforts to open more visit capacity in their schedules and thereby causing more work. My ability to bring an initiative forward accompanied by an operations implementation plan has given me the chance to achieve results more quickly. I personally am very passionate about solving the significant need in this country for access to good healthcare. I am ready to bring this passion and rigor to Common Spirit Health.

I am positive my experience in designing and operationalizing initiatives that lead to greater patient access and the correlating financial improvement for the organization qualifies me for this position with your organization. I have a proven track record of success moving the metrics to the desired outcome that I would be happy to share with you. Also, I have an extensive resume beyond what I have highlighted here that I have enclosed for your review. I would welcome an opportunity to discuss this role and my qualifications in more detail. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Sincerely,

Margie D’Ambrosio Enclosure
