I am writing to you to express my interest in the Junior Ranger Activity Book Editorial Intern. I am studying education at Arizona State University with a minor in sustainability and a certificate in environmental education. My goal is to work for the Department of the Interior after I graduate. I currently work fulltime as a Child Care specialist at Laguna Elementary School in Scottsdale. I act as the supervisor of the school site specifically for the “Kid’s Club” program with grades ranging from preschool to second grade. I am not only in charge of the clerical responsibilities but also the lesson planning and day to day activities of the program, the assistants, and students. I am proficient in Photoshop and other software that can be used for editing, gaining my experience while studying for my associate degree in broadcasting and cinema. I am excited to enable children and young adults with learning from organized activities to encourage them to preserve history and nature. I look forward to hearing from you to discuss this position.
