She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicate of St. Ann’s church. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Barker, on July 27, 2005. She is survived by one daughter, Beverly (Robert) Showers of Almond; two sons, Francis (Eve’Lynn) Barker of Almond, and Jerome (Margaret) Barker of Rochester; one brother, George Cowley of Rochester; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Elmer served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1943-46. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Twin Hickory Golf Club, the Hornell Association, the Arkport American Legion and Hornellsville Lodge No. 44 F&AM. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Dorothea in 1989; his sister, Marian Reid; and his nephew, Charles Reid, Jr. He is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Roger) Edel of Clarence, and Candyce (James) Hunt of Mississippi; three grandchildren, Stacy (Brent) Walker, Stephanie Edel and Mallory Edel; and one great-granddaughter, Cayman Walker; one niece, two great-nieces and one great-nephew. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ribble Robinson, whom he married February 26, 1944; his daugher, Eva Jane (Terry) Boyle of Bergen; a son, Keith (Aileen) Robinson of Arkport; three granddaughters, Bobbi Jo, Dorothy and Shannon; seven greatgrandchildren; 2 loving neighbors, Nancy France and Bill Woodworth of Arkport; and many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
