BUCCAL SURFACE 1. smallest crown 2. short crown and highly bulbuous outline 3. MBC & DBC 4. 1 Bu Groove 5. roots are short, fused with marked D inclination • 1. 2. 3. 4.



LINGUAL SURFACE short crown with highly bulbuous outline rounded cusps Bu profiles & proximal surface not visible short, fused root with pronounced D inclination

MESIAL SURFACE 1. MRoot not as broad like the Mand 2nd Molar 2. crown highly bulbuous in outline 3. distance between apices of the Bu & Li cusps less than that of the 1st & 2nd Molar 4. MRoot is broad Bu-Li but is shorter than 1st & 2nd • DISTAL SURFACE 1. bulbuous crown outline 2. OTO: extremely constricted 3. DRoot is the narrowest & shortest Bu-Li and shorter of all Mand Molars



OCCLUSAL SURFACE 1. OVOID outline 2. M & D profiles highly curved; no Li convergence 3. Grooves show no set pattern 4. OT least relative area

*Has a lot of SUPPLEMENTAL GROOVES that’s why there’s no groove pattern
