Whole Group Flipchart This flipchart is for introducing the silent e/long vowel pattern to your students. Teacher will staple eacg of tge “stem words” ofto tge rectafgle of the flipchart. Teacher will attach the ftagic E wand to a popsicle stick. Students will use their sounds to read the stem words, then use the magic wand to add silent e. They will read the new word they created.

Silent E Puzzles Teacher should laminate each puzzle and cut them apart on the lines. You may choose to keep each puzzle in a separate bag OR students can sort them into piles by color before assembling. They should put together the puzzles to create a long vowel, silent e word and picture.

POOF! Card Game Teacher should laminate the cards and place them in a paper bag or deep bowl. Students will take turns choosing a card and reading the a_e word. If they read it correctly, they may keep it. If not, they should return it to the bag. If a student draws a “Poof!” card, tgey must return all of their cards to the bag!
