Our Faculty members presented papers on various National Conferences as below:

1. Faculty member Miss G.Ramya presented paper titled “Non Linear Finite Element Analysis of Composite Column” in National Conference on Advances in Materials & Mechanics of Concrete Structures at IITM, Chennai on 12-13 Aug 2005. 2. Faculty members Mr.N.Rajkumar and Miss S.Gowri Presented paper titled “Experimental Study on Corrosion Control Method” on 14th November 2005 in ISTE Staff Chapter of Erode Sengunthar Engineering College. 3. Faculty member Miss G.Ramya presented paper titled “Non Linear Finite Element Analysis of Composite Column” in ISTE staff Chapter of ESEC. 

Faculty member Mr.T.Govindasamy published paper titled “Self Compacting Concrete” in New Building Materials and Construction World, July 2005. 3. Faculty members Mr.N.Rajkumar and Miss S.Gowri has sent paper titled “Physico- Chemical and Bacteriological Quality in various Sources of Drinking Water from Erode District of Tamilnadu” to Journal on Research, Anna University, Chennai. 4. Faculty members Mr.N.Rajkumar and Miss S.Gowri has sent paper titled “Use of Plastics in Concrete – An Experimental Approach” to Journal on Research, Anna University, Chennai. 5. Faculty members Mr.N.Rajkumar and Miss S.Gowri has received acceptance for the paper titled “Identification of Sulfide Oxidizing Bacteria from Sewage – Beggiatoa species” from Nature Environment and Pollution Technology Journal  As a part of Industry-Institute-Interaction, in order to inculcate the State-of-art practices, several Industrial Visits were arranged which include visits to 

 Faculty Members Mr. T.V.Vijayaraghavan, Mr.G.Arunkumar, Miss G.Ramya, Mr.T.Govindasamy attended Faculty Development programme on “Pedagogy & Faculty Development Programme” on 5th Nov 2005 organized by Erode Sengunthar Engineering College, Thudupathi.  Two projects viz., DAMAGE ASSESSMENT OF TANNERY EFFLUENT ON AQUATIC WEALTH USING RS AND GIS – A Case Study for Upper Bhavani Region and SEISMIC EVALUATION & APPRAISAL OF RETROFITTING

BUILDINGS – A Case Study for Seismic Zone III are submitted to Department of Space and Department of Science and Technology respectively by Mr.N.Rajkumar and Mr.T.Govidaswamy as principal investigators. Reply is awaited.  Two projects are sanctioned from the prominent funding bodies namely, DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY and DEPARTMENT OF SPACE, to a total of over 50 Lakhs. This achievement is a part of our total target of 2 Crores spanned over a period of 3 years.  The Department apart from the Academic activities also concentrates on consultancy works in testing the quality and strength of construction materials, Soil tests etc., The Department is also trying to promote the consultancy works with some of the advanced and latest equipments that are available.  T.K Jagan, Final Year Civil Engineering student has secured 87.26 percentile in GATE-2005.  Final year Civil Engineering student K.Kannikha Parameswari was placed in ALLSEC Technologies, Chennai, through Placement and Training Cell of ESEC.  Our Students have excelled in the extra-curricular activities. To quote a few, 1. Civil Engineering Department conducted Inter Departmental Cricket Tournament in the name “GAZEBO Trophy” and won the same in that competition. 2. Thirty Students of Civil Engineering Department has donated blood through blood donation Camp organized by our college.
