The construction of different work at Anantnag yard in stone masonry was in progress by the above agency. In BOQ CRM stone masonry work was incorporated in Schedule A (quoted rate 45% above). At site due to shortage of skilled labour the work has been executed in RRM. The rate for CRM in BOQ was @Rs. 1335.20 per cum for 1000 cum quantity as per DSR 2002 instead of that @ Rs. 1259.75 reduced rate of DSR 2002 RRM work may be approved payment may be allowed to pay at the reduced rate. The water supply pipe line work at Anantnag yard is in progress by the above agency. At site boring for water supply is also in progress but as per site condition the boring work will take three to four months time to complete. And there is no alternative source of drinking water to supply at the Station and quarter buildings. Hence water supply connection may be taken from the state PHE department and the process has already started. For this connection 40mm NB GI pipe line may be laid from the ROB/NH km 17/350 to quarter building area km. 17/800 (450m) out side the approved drawing. Cost implication for this job will be Rs. 1,52,026.16 The Total executed quantity will remain within the BOQ quantity which is 1200Rm for the above item. Put up for administrative approval please. A. The construction of circulating area ramp is in progress at the yard. As per drawing the railing work to be done with MS pipe but due to non availability of the specified item the item may be treated as NS item and for this the item reference rate can be taken from SB-1R Package (Station Building, Anantnag Yard) (Annexure – I) for 900mm ht. Railing.
B. The sewerage line to be done with stone ware pipe. But due to non availability of the item in the local market the item can not executed at an early date. Before the CRS inspection all activity has to be completed at a short period and to borrow the stone ware pipe from the out side market than the valley it will take time. In view of that the work can be done with 150mm dia PVC pipe and without affecting the purpose of the job. For the rate, analysis rate (Annexure – II) may kindly be approved.
C. In BOQ CRM stone masonry work was incorporated in Schedule-A (quoted rate 45% above). At site due to shortage of skilled labour the work has been executed in RRM. The rate for CRM in BOQ was @Rs. 1335.20 per cum for 1000 cum quantity as per DSR 2002 instead of that @ Rs. 1259.75 reduced rate of DSR 2002 RRM work may be approved, payment may be allowed to pay at the reduced rate. It will save Rs.1,09,402.50/-.
D. In BOQ for the black top of the road bitu mastic sheet has been considered but the bitu mastic sheet can not be done due to non availability of material and machinery and skilled manpower. Rather than this Bituminous concrete can be done. For this item analysis (Annexure – III) rate may kindly be approved.
E. In BOQ 15cm wide brick masonry drain was incorporated but as per site condition and direction of the higher authority 30cm wide drain has been made. For this drain payment may be done on measurement of individual item in stead of composite running metre rate.
F. Blanketing item was not incorporated in the BOQ of M-12 package, and all the earthwork has been closed in this Phase –II zone. However as per site condition some left portion required to fill with blanketing material. To execute the blanketing job the item may be treated as non schedule item under this package and for rate of these item analysis (Annexure – IV) may kindly be seen for vetting and approval please.
G. As per site condition and villagers demand the irrigation channel parallel to track at LHS of the railway boundary from CH: 17/400 to 17/550 may be made pucca to avoid
periodical
maintenance.

NOTE Sub: Engagement of new agency for circulating area RCC retaining wall. Ref: Site order dated: 05-06-2008
The RCC retaining wall construction of the circulating area at Anantnag Yard is in progress at the final stage. Total length of the retaining wall is 330m and out of this 260m about to complete and this can be completed within 10 days. Day by day the rate of different construction material is increasing rapidly and the present contractor is not agree to do the excess quantity beyond their permissible limit at the same rate. On the other hand to improve the progress before the CRS inspection another new agency may be engaged for the 50% of the rest RCC retaining wall on priority basis. Other 50% can be done with the present agency of the package M-12 to complete the whole job within a short period. An estimate has been prepared for the outer (Baramulla side) RCC retaining wall for an amount of Rs. 12,73,608.00 which may kindly be vet for execution.
