Lumense Dance Dance Lumense has a meaning that is taken from the local language word meaning lume fly and mense meaning high, so overall, the name of this dance means to fly high. Origin, traditional dances typical of Southeast Sulawesi There are of Bombana occupied Moronene tribe. This tribe is the generation of an old Malay tribe originally from the Indian at the time of prasejaran.

The dance is usually performed to welcome guests at parties, especially in the party of the people. Dancers usually number twelve women, so this dance is a dance group of women. Of the twelve dancers, six of which will be male and the other portion being female.

All the dancers will wear traditional clothing Kabaena. For those who play a role as a woman, they will wear taincombo. Taincombo is the name of traditional dresses Kabean patterned maroon skirt with superiors and subordinates black dress shirt mermaid shaped. As for the dancers who act as men will wear taincombo held together with a red scarf, with korobi (parang sheath of wood) are mounted on the left side of the waist.

The beginning of this traditional dance movements that stir back and forth, swapping positions then form the letter Z and S configuration, moomani or ibing is the designation of dynamic movement that is part of this dance. The climax of this dance that is when the dancers continue to perform moomani and cut with machetes on the banana tree, until the tree falls. Concluding this dance are the dancers will form a semi-circle configuration and holding hands together while leg back and forth.

Lumense dance dance usually accompanied by music coming from the drum and gong musical instruments large and small accompanied by three drummers musical instruments. But this time, not all series of movement and property were included in the show, due to the length of time that is sometimes limited, particularly when welcoming guests state.

As part of this dance, there is a ritual of pe-olia which is the worship of the spirits called kowonuano with serving various types of food. The goal is to repel all types of disasters.
