GREETINGS TO YOU IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF OUR SAVIOUR AND LORD JESUS CHRIST

My name is Bro. K. Ramesh, from Hyderabad, India, presently working in a

Government Bank, but my main job is serving our LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. TESTIMONY

I used to have a severe stomach pain and problems, since my child hood. I visited many doctors but was nothing bettered. Then I was reading the Mark gospel from the Holy Bible. In 11th chapter, 23 and 24 verses turned my life completely. Jesus said, “Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” No one anywhere gave this kind of promise. I was greatly delighted and asked God to take away my problem and I started believing that I received the healing from Him. Wonderfully I was healed within no time. This brought me great comfort and faith in Jesus. Since then I committed myself to Jesus and enjoying His blessings daily.

Praise the Lord. MINISTRY

I have a great desire to know and understand what is in the Bible. I started reading daily. Mark 11: 23, 24 changed my life as I shared in my testimony. Since then with great passion I read the Bible. He is revealing Himself to me through His word. In 1992, October 30th God spoke to me through Exodus 4: 12, “Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.” And also said through Jeremiah 1: 7, “for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.” Obeying His promises by faith I have been going wherever He sends and sharing Jesus to the people.

WHY THESE PAGES?

“To spread the Light of His Word unto the World.” GOD'S MESSAGE LOVING GOD Mathew 22: 35-40

Once a lawyer came to Jesus and asked Him what was the greatest commandment in the law (Bible). Then Jesus replied, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Mathew 22: 37, 38.

So, all the teachings of the Holy Bible may be summed up in these two great commandments. If anybody follows these two commandments he follows the whole Bible. So important these commandments are.

Firstly, I would like to share what is the 1st commandment. Jesus said, love God. What is “loving God?” the Bible says in 1st John 5: 3, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments:” So loving God means following His commandments. If some body says I love God and do not follow His commandments he is a liar because in 1st John 2: 4 it says, “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”

Jesus said a beautiful parable.

A father had two sons. One day he went to his first son and said, son! Go to the vineyard and work. The first son said, 'I will not go and work.' Then the father went to his second son with pain and said, 'son at least you go and work in the vineyard.' Then the second son replied, 'sir I will go.' With great joy the father went away. But the second son did not go as he promised. Whereas the first son later repented for denying his father, changed his mind and went to the vineyard and worked. Jesus asked which of these two really loved the father. The answer we know, the first son. The second son loved his father with his lips. But the first son loved his father with his heart by obeying his commandments. Mathew 21: 28-30.

Same way like second son many times we love God our Father, with our lips. God, therefore, says “these people love me with their lips but their heart is far from me.” Isaiah 29: 13.

So God wants us to love Him with all our heart by "Obeying His commandments."

God Bless You

GREETINGS TO YOU IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF OUR SAVIOR AND LORD JESUS CHRIST

I praise the Lord for giving me this beautiful opportunity to meet you and to share God’s Word with you. May God bless you as you go through His Word.

“LOVING GOD” Mathew 22: 35-40.

Well we have seen that in order ‘to love God we need to obey His commandments.’ 1st John 5: 3 says, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments:” Then what are His commandments to keep? Let us see one by one.

The Bible says in 1 John 2: 15, “Love not the world

1

, neither the things that are in the world . If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him.3” 2

Let us see point 1. According to this scripture, as long as we love this world we cannot love God. Why so? Please see in 1 John 5: 19. It says, “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness”. That means the whole world lies in the hands of Satan and his wickedness. Hence Jesus addressed Satan in John 14: 30, ‘the prince of this world.’ For the same reason Satan when tempted Jesus in the wilderness could say this- “And the devil, taking up into an high mountain, shewed unto Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto Him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will give it.” Luke4:5,6. So whoever love this world love Satan, for he is the prince of this world. Jesus said, in Mathew 6: 24, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despite the other”. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 10: 21, “Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: you cannot be partakers of the Lord’s Table, and of the devils.”

Hence no one can love the Lord and the same time the devil. God spoke to Israelites through the prophet Elijah when they were doing the same thing, in 1 Kings 18: 21, “How long halt ye between two opinions?” So God wants us to

choose only one, either Him or this world (Satan). Jesus said in John 17: 16, ‘we are not of the world, even as He is not of the world’. Shall we say dear Brothers and Sisters like Joshua, as it is written in Joshua 24: 15, “but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Praise God.

Now let us see point 2. The same verse says; do not love the things of the world. What are the things that are in the world? We have seen in Satan’s words when he was tempting Jesus, ‘The powers and glories’. But the Word of God says in verse 16 of 1 John 2nd Chapter, “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world”. Only these three things are there in the world. All sins of this world fall in one of these three lusts. In fact these three lusts are great weapons of the devil and with these weapons he tries to destroy people. Let us see how he destroyed Adam and Eve with these lusts in the beginning. God commanded Adam saying, “Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2: 16, 17. Later Satan came and tempted Eve. Then what she did? “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food A, and that it was pleasant to the eyes B, and a tree to be desired to make one wise C, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” Genesis 3: 6. (A) Eve thought that ‘the fruit was good for food.’

In fact God created in the Garden of Eden every fruit good for food, please see Genesis 2: 9. Still the fruit that was forbidden by God looked unto her good. Do you know what this desire is? ‘The lust of the flesh’. Food is the first desire of the flesh. For instance if somebody does not take food for some days, what will the flesh desire first? Not gold, silver nor anything but food. If one does not control this desire it will become the lust of the flesh and lead into sin. Let us see one example from the Bible. Esau was the first son of Isaac. One day when he was hungry he pleaded Jacob, his brother to feed him. Jacob bargained with Esau to sell his birthright. Then Esau told,’ I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?’ Then Jacob gave him the food to eat and Esau ate and sold Jacob his birthright, ‘the privilege God gave him.’ The Word of God says, “thus Esau despised his birthright”. You can see these things in Genesis 25: 2934. Since Esau loved the food more than God and His privilege, he fell into the sin of the lust of the flesh and despised God’s privilege. Same way Eve when the fruit appeared unto her good for food she fell into the trap of the devil and into the lust of the flesh. So the devil overcame Eve with his first weapon. (B) ‘The fruit was pleasant to the eyes.’

As we have seen in Genesis 2: 9, God created in the Garden of Eden every tree and fruit pleasant to the sight. Still this particular fruit appeared unto her eyes very pleasant. What is this desire? ‘The lust of the eyes.’ We cannot have every thing that is pleasant to our eyes. She wanted to have this particular fruit, which was restricted by God. Hence her desire turns into the lust. Again Eve fell into the trap of the devil and the lust of eyes. Once again the devil succeeded Eve with his second weapon. (C) ‘A tree to be desired to make one wise.’

What is this desire? ‘The pride of life.’ God gave them a position and a privilege but she did not satisfy herself with them. Because the devil tempted Eve and said in Genesis 3: 5, ‘your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods.’ According to the temptation of Satan she preferred to be as gods, knowing good and evil

rather than what God wanted them to be. Finally Eve fell in to the trap of the devil and the pride of life. Ultimately the devil defeated her completely with his third weapon.

When she loved these three things of the world, what was the result? Eve did eat the forbidden fruit, and gave also unto her husband with her: and Adam did eat. They disobeyed the commandment of God.

Let us also see point 3. ‘If any man loves the things of this world the love of the Father is not in him’ and he cannot love God. How? Well, we have seen that the loving God means obeying His commandments. God gave a very clear commandment to Adam and Eve. Had Adam and Eve loved God what should they have done? They should have obeyed His commandment and stopped eating the fruit; for loving God is obeying His commandments. Since they loved the three things of the world they failed in obeying His commandments and ultimately failed in loving God.

Same way if we love the world and the things of the world we cannot love God. The Bible says in Colossians 3: 1, 2, “If ye then risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” It does not mean that we should be aloof from the world but we should keep ourselves unspotted from the world and the things thereof.

So my Brothers and Sisters if we have the desire to love God we need to pray Him through Jesus Christ to give us the strength to overcome this world and the things of the world.

May God lead you and bless you.

“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O GOD.” Psalms 42: 1

He died for you

GREETINGS TO YOU IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF OUR SAVIOR AND LORD JESUS CHRIST

“LOVING GOD” Mathew 22: 35-40.

We have seen in the previous message how the devil trapped Adam and Eve. Do you remember what the same devil is doing now? Please see 1 Peter 5: 8. It says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” The devil who trapped them, even wants to destroy us with the same weapons; The lust of the flesh, The lust of the eyes, and The pride of life. So we need to understand clearly how these things tempt us in our daily lives. Let us go through in detail one by one.

The lust of the flesh

Do you remember what the Bible says about our bodies? Please see 1 Corinthians 3: 16, 17. “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” Since the Spirit of God dwells in us we are His Temple. Let us see how the lust of the flesh defiles our bodies. Take the example of cigarette smoking. We all know how this habit spoils our health. Hence in our country, India, it is mandatory for every manufacturer of cigarettes to print a statutory warning note on the packets saying, ‘Cigarette smoking is injurious to health.’ Hence the doctors and our friends also advise us the same thing.

I have seen many chain smokers smoking, but I have never seen a person who smokes inside the church while the service is going on. Why? In spite of their habit they respect the Church as a place of Worship and fear to smoke. We know who built our churches: by men and with their hands. What the Bible says about men and their hands? Please see in Romans 3: 10, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” Also see in, Isaiah 59: 3, “For your hands are defiled with blood and your fingers with iniquity;”- If we fear to smoke in the church that was constructed by man’s hands, how much more we should fear to smoke in the Temple of God, which is our body and was constructed by the Holy hands of God? If we defile our bodies with these lusts of the flesh how can we be His children and His Temple? We have seen just one example of lusts of the flesh, but there are many like adultery, fornication, homosexuality, drugs and so on. Just remember what God said, ‘If any defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy.’

Word of God says in 1 Peter 1:15-16, “Because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy.” So let us be holy and make our bodies as ‘The House of Prayer’ as Jesus

said in Mathew 21:13. Then we can say we love the LORD.

The lust of the eyes.

We have seen that our bodies are the Temple of God. Then what are our eyes? Jesus said in Luke 11: 34-35, “The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when then eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.” So important, the eyes are to our bodies which are the temple of God. When the candles or lights go off in the temple, the whole temple turns into dark. Same way when we do sin with our eyes that are the lights of our bodies, the whole body, which is the temple of God, becomes dark. The Bible says in 1 John 1: 5, “God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.” Jesus said in John 12: 46, “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” But when a person does sin with his eyes he is darkening God, who dwells in us and who is light. Will He be happy? We need to be very careful with our eyes for we do many sins with them. Jesus said in Mathew 5: 28, “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” Job, the righteous man, says in Job 31: 1, “I made a covenant with mine eyes: why then should I think upon a maid?” Hence God gave a good report about Job, in Chapter 1: 8, “there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil.”

If we desire to have the same report from our God we also need to make a covenant with our eyes and flee from all the lusts of the eyes. Only then we can say we love the LORD.

The pride of life.

Pride is the main character of the devil. Because of his pride, he was thrown from Heaven. Please see in Ezekiel 28: 17, what God is telling about the devil, “Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by the reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground.” The Bible says in Proverbs 16: 18, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

God gives us talents according to our abilities and according to His perfect will. We should not take any pride and glory in them. The Bible says in Jeremiah 9: 23-24, “Thus saith the Lord, let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteous, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.” If we take glory in our possessions what happens? Let us see a parable that Jesus told. ‘A certain rich man’s ground brought forth plentifully. He thought to pull down the barns and wanted to build greater ones.’ Do you know my Brother and Sister, how many times he used the words ‘I’ and ‘my’ in this parable in just two verses? Please see Luke 12: 18, 19 in KJV. The word “I”, he mentioned “6” times and “my”, “5” times, “11” times in total. He thought every thing that he had belonged to him; but he could not understand the truth that they were the blessings from God. That is why he could tell about himself “11” times but failed to tell about God even “one time.” Hence he said to himself, ‘O! My soul, eat, drink and be merry.’ Just opposite of what King David said in Psalms 103: 2, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:” Then God said to the rich man, ‘It is true that the barns- yours, the fruits- yours, the goods- yours; but you fool, thy soul is not yours: this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast

provided?’ So shall be unto them that take glory in their possessions instead in God. Boastfulness, conceit, egotism, haughtiness, and self-love all these things fall in the pride of life. So we need to be very careful with these things.

We have seen that in order to love God we need to stop loving this world and the things of this world. If anybody still loves the world, the word of God says in James 4: 4, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses1, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy2 of God.” KJV.

Let us see point one. In 'English Bible, KJV' we find the words in the above verse “adulterers and adulteresses”, where as in the oldest manuscripts like 'Greek Bible' omit the word "adulterers " and read simply, "Ye adulteresses." When somebody loves the world in spite of a man or a woman, he or she is an adulteress in the sight of God. Why the word of God says so? By the way,Who is an adulteress? The Bible says in Romans 7: 3, “So then, if she gives herself to another man while her husband is living, she will be called an adulteress.” So it is she that is not faithful to her husband and loves another person. Now please see in 2nd Corinthians 11: 2, “for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” John the Baptist also says in John 3: 29, “He that hath the bride is the bridegroom:” Therefore we are all Bride, regardless of men or women, and Jesus is our Husband. It is our duty to love our husband Jesus. Instead of loving my husband Jesus, if I love another person that is the devil who is the prince of this world, am I not an adulteress in the sight of God?

Let us see point two. If anybody love this world he will be a friend of this world and he will become the enemy of God. David says in Psalms 18: 17, “He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me:” Our God is deliverer from our enemies. If we ourselves become enemies unto God, by loving this world, who can deliver us from the wrath of God?

Hence we need to love our friend and Bridegroom Jesus Christ. Though we are unfaithful many times, God says in Jeremiah 3: 1, “if a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man’s, shall he return unto her again? Shall not that land be greatly polluted? – Yet return again to me, saith the Lord.” This is the Love of God concerning His children. We should turn unto GOD.

GOD WEEPS

Though He is calling back unto Him if one does not return, do you know my Brother and Sister what God does? Please see Jeremiah 13: 17, “But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD'S flock is carried away captive.” When we do anything against the will of God, we will be captive by the sin. The Bible says in Genesis 4:7, “and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.” And in Romans 6: 23, The Bible says “for the wages of sin is death.” No father is happy when his children are captive and die. So is our GOD. Then who shall deliver us from this sin and death? Thank GOD through Jesus Christ our Lord.

GOD'S LOVE

The Bible says in John 3: 16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loves you and me and gave His Son Jesus Christ as a gift

that we may be delivered from this world, sin, death and Satan and inherit everlasting life.

JESUS WAS BORN

The Bible says in 1st John 3: 8, “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” Jesus loved you and me and humbled himself and was born as Son of man leaving all His Heavenly pleasures, just to deliver us from the Devil and from the lusts of this world. Jesus defeated the sin, this world, the death and Satan. Praise the Lord. Now if we believe in Jesus, we can also overcome the world and the Devil. The bible says in 1st John 5: 4, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” So only by Faith in Jesus we can overcome this world; we can obey His commandments and we can Love God. The Bible says in 1st John 4:9, “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” We need to believe in Jesus that we may overcome this world.

WHY SHOULD WE BLIEVE IN CHRIST?

Can’t we overcome this world and the things of the world with our own strength? Let us see. A man’s life span in this world is maximum one hundred years. So his experience in this world is only one hundred years. My Brother and Sister, do you know the experience of Satan in this world? More than 5000 years. By his strength he has been defeating people, as a roaring lion, from the days of Adam and Eve even unto this day. Can a man who has experience of one hundred years defeat Satan who has more than 5000 years of experience? Impossible. Paul says in Philippians 4: 13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

We need Jesus to overcome this world and to love GOD by obeying His commandments. As Jesus said, in Luke 18: 14, Let us humble ourselves that we may be exalted by God in due course. So my Brother and Sister let us love the LORD by obeying these commandments. Shall we say- “Lord we love thee?”

God Bless You.

"From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised." Psalms 113: 3

He died for you
