In the name of ALLAH, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Lout (peace be upon him) in The Quran __________________________________________________________
And Ismail (Ishmael) and Al-Yasa (Elisha), and Yoonus (Jonah) and Lout (Lot), and each one of them We preferred above the Alameen (mankind and jinns). [006:086] ———————————————————————————————— And (remember) Lout (Lot), when he said to his people: “Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the Alameen (mankind and jinns)? [007:080] “Verily, you practise your lusts on men instead of women. Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds.” [007:081] And the answer of his people was only that they said: “Drive them out of your town, these are indeed men who want to be pure!” [007:082] Then We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind. [007:083] And We rained down on them a rain (of stones). Then see what was the end of the Mujrimoon (criminals, sinners, etc.). [007:084] ———————————————————————————————— Has not the story reached them of those before them? - The people of Nooh (Noah), Ad, and Thamood, the people of Ibraheem (Abraham), the dwellers of Madyan (Midian) and the cities overthrown (the people to whom Lout (Lot) preached), to them came their Messengers with clear proofs. So it was not Allah Who wronged them, but they used to wrong themselves. [009:070] ———————————————————————————————— But when he (Ibrahim (Abraham)) saw their (the angels) hands went not towards it (the meal), he felt some mistrust of them, and conceived a fear of them. They said: “Fear not, we have been sent against the people of Lout (Lot).” [011:070] Then when the fear had gone away from Ibraheem (Abraham), and the glad tidings had reached him, he began to plead with Us for the people of Lout (Lot). [011:074] And when Our Messengers came to Lout (Lot), he was grieved on their account and felt himself straitened for them. He said: “This is a distressful day.” [011:077] And his people came rushing towards him, and since aforetime they used to commit crimes (sodomy, etc.), he said: “O my people! Here are my daughters, they are purer for you (if you marry). So fear Allah and degrade me not as regards my guests! Is there not among you a single right-minded man?” [011:078] They said: “Surely you know that we have neither any desire nor in need of your daughters, and indeed you know well what we want!” [011:079] I bear witness that there is no God except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His servant and messenger

He said: “Would that I had strength to overpower you, or that I could betake myself to some powerful support.” [011:080] They (Messengers) said: “O Lout (Lot)! Verily, we are the Messengers from your Lord! They shall not reach you! So travel with your family in a part of the night, and let not any of you look back, but your wife (will remain behind), verily, the punishment which will afflict them, will afflict her. Indeed, morning is their appointed time. Is not the morning near?” [011:081] So when Our Commandment came, We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down, and rained on them stones of baked clay, piled up; [011:082] Marked from your Lord, and they are not ever far from the Zalimoon (polytheists, evildoers, etc.). [011:083] ———————————————————————————————— (Ibrahim (Abraham)) said: “What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?” [015:057] They (the angels) said: “We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimoon (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners). [015:058] “(All) except the family of Lout (Lot). Them all (we) are surely going to save. [015:059] “Except his wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind.” [015:060] Then, when the Messengers (the angels) came unto the family of Lout (Lot). [015:061] He said: “Verily! You are people unknown to me.” [015:062] They said: “Nay, we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting. [015:063] “And we have brought to you the truth and certainly, we tell the truth. [015:064] “Then travel in a part of the night with your family, and you go behind them in the rear, and let no one amongst you look back, but go on to where you are ordered.” [015:065] And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning. [015:066] And the inhabitants of the city came rejoicing. [015:067] (Lout (Lot)) said: “Verily! these are my guests, so shame me not. [015:068] “And fear Allah and disgrace me not.” [015:069] They said: “Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the Alameen (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?” [015:070] (Lout (Lot)) said: “These are my daughters (to marry lawfully), if you must act (so).” [015:071] I bear witness that there is no God except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His servant and messenger

Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly. [015:072] So As-Saeehah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them at the time of sunrise; [015:073] And We turned upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay. [015:074] Surely! In this are signs, for those who see. [015:075] And verily! They were right on the highroad. [015:076] Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. [015:077] ———————————————————————————————— And We rescued him and Lout (Lot) to the land which We have blessed for the Alameen (mankind and jinns). [021:071] And (remember) Lout (Lot), We gave him Hukman (right judgement) and knowledge, and We saved him from the town (folk) who practised Al-Khabaith (evil, wicked and filthy deeds). Verily, they were a people evil and were Fasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient). [021:074] And We admitted him to Our Mercy, truly, he was of the righteous. [021:075] ———————————————————————————————— And if they belie you (O Muhammad SAW), so were belied the Prophets before them, (by) the people of Nooh (Noah), Ad and Thamood, [022:042] And the people of Ibrahim (Abraham) and the people of Lout (Lot) [022:043] ———————————————————————————————— And indeed they have passed by the town (of Prophet Lout (Lot)) on which was rained the evil rain. Did they (disbelievers) not then see it? Nay! But they used not to expect for any resurrection. [025:040] ———————————————————————————————— The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers. [026:160] When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: “Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? [026:161] “Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. [026:162] “So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. [026:163] “No reward do I ask of you for it, my reward is only from the Lord of the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists). [026:164] “Go you in unto the males of the Alameen (mankind), [026:165]

“And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!” [026:166] They said: “If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!” [026:167] He said: “I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your action (of sodomy). [026:168] “My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do.” [026:169] So We saved him and his family, all, [026:170] Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. [026:171] Then afterward We destroyed the others. [026:172] And We rained on them a rain. And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. [026:173] Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. [026:174] And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. [026:175] ———————————————————————————————— And (remember) Lout (Lot)! When he said to his people . Do you commit AlFahishah (evil, great sin) while you see?” [027:054] “Do you approach men in your lusts rather than women? Nay, but you are a people who behave senselessly.” [027:055] There was no other answer given by his people except that they said: “Drive out the family of Lout (Lot) from your city. Verily, these are men who want to be clean and pure!” [027:056] So We saved him and his family, except his wife. We destined her to be of those who remained behind. [027:057] And We rained down on them a rain. So evil was the rain of those who were warned. [027:058] Say, “Praise and thanks be to Allah, and peace be on His slaves whom He has chosen! Is Allah better, or that you ascribe as partners (to Him)?” [027:059] ———————————————————————————————— So Lout (Lot) believed in him (Ibrahims (Abraham)). He (Ibrahim (Abraham)) said: “Indeed I am emigrating to my Lord. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.” [029:026] And (remember) Lout (Lot), when he said to his people: “You commit Al-Fahishah (sodomy, evil sin) which none has preceded you in (committing) it from the Alameen (mankind and jinns).” [029:028]

“Verily, you approach the men and rob the wayfarer! And practise Al-Munkar (evil deed) in your meetings.” But his people gave no answer except, that they said: “Bring Allahs Torment upon us if you are one of the truthful.” [029:029] He said: “My Lord! Give me victory over the people who are Mufsidoon (oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupts). [029:030] And when Our Messengers came to Lout (Lot), he was grieved because of them, and felt straitened on their account. They said: “Have no fear, and do not grieve! Truly, we shall save you and your family, except your wife, she will be of those who remain behind. [029:033] Verily, we are about to bring down on the people of this town a great torment from the sky, because they have been rebellious.” [029:034] And indeed We have left thereof an evident Ayah (sign) for a people who understand. [029:035] ———————————————————————————————— And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. [037:133] When We saved him and his family, all, [037:134] Except an old woman who was among those who remained behind. [037:135] Then We destroyed the rest. [037:136] Verily, you pass by them in the morning. [037:137] And at night; will you not then reflect? [037:138] ———————————————————————————————— And Thamood, and the people of Lout (Lot), and the dwellers of the wood; such were the confederates. [038:013] Not one of them but belied the Messengers, therefore My Torment was justified [038:014] ———————————————————————————————— Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nooh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamood, [050:012] And Ad, and Firaun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot) [050:013] ———————————————————————————————— (Ibrahim (Abraham)) said: “Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?” [051:031] They said: “We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimoon (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners); [051:032] To send down upon them stones of baked clay. [051:033]

Marked by your Lord for the Musrifoon (polytheists, criminals, sinners). [051:034] So We brought out from therein the believers. [051:035] But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one. [051:036] And We have left there a sign for those who fear the painful torment. [051:037] ———————————————————————————————— And He destroyed the overthrown cities. [053:053] So there covered them that which did cover (torment with stones). [053:054] ———————————————————————————————— The people of Lout (Lot) belied the warnings. [054:033] Verily, We sent against them a violent storm of stones (which destroyed them all), except the family of Lout (Lot), whom We saved in last hour of the night, [054:034] As a Favour from Us, thus do We reward him who gives thanks. [054:035] And he (Lout (Lot)) indeed had warned them of Our Grasp, but they did doubt the warnings! [054:036] And they indeed sought to shame his guest. So We blinded their eyes, “Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings.” [054:037] And verily, an abiding torment seized them early in the morning. [054:038] “Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings.” [054:039] And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? [054:040] Are your disbelievers better than these (nations)? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures? [054:043 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Allah sets forth an example for those who disbelieve, the wife of Nooh (Noah) and the wife of Lout (Lot). They were under two of our righteous slaves, but they both betrayed their (husbands), so they (Nooh (Noah) and Lout (Lot)) profited nothing before Allah on their account and it was said: "Enter the Fire along with those who enter!" [066:010] ———————————————————————————————— And Firaun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown (people of (Lout (Lot)) committed sin, [069:009] And they disobeyed their Lords Messenger, so He punished them with a strong punishment. [069:010]
