Laguna de Bay Institutional Strengthening and Community Participation Project

LISCOP – 5-yr development initiative of LLDA

With co-financing support from the Netherlands Government Grant and World Bank Loan Envisioned to support the sustainable management of the Laguna de Bay Basin

COMPONENT 1: Co-Managed Investments for Watershed Development Improve the environmental quality in the region by engaging LGUs/stakeholders in implementing environmental sub-projects.

COMPONENT 2: Strengthening Institutions and Instruments Ensure that Laguna de Bay and its watershed are managed effectively and in a sustainable manner by strengthening the capacity of institutions in environmental governance.

Harness and deepen stakeholders ’ participation in microwatershed environment

Mission No. 2 Implement direct and strategic microwatershed level interventions that would contribute towards improvement of the quality of the Laguna de Bay and its watershed

Mission No. 3 Strengthen LGU’s self-governance and reinforce inter-LGU cooperation in the environmental

The 34 Pipeline Sub-Projects in 22 municipalities generated from 15 out of 24 micro-watersheds which have undergone LEAP
