Context: introduction to Unit 4 “What time is it?” Telling the time and numbers 1-12
Teaching aids: Dialogues (CD), blank worksheets for bingo game, blank clockfaces Learner objectives:
Students acquire knowledge of the language required to tell the time and use it to participate in a game of bingo.
Anticipated problems for students:
Numbers 10-60.. Also difficulties with order of numbers
Solutions: Lots of revision of numbers.
Personal Aims: Better time management to allow all tasks to be completed
Anticipated problems for teacher: Tasks are too easy for higher level students leading to boredom and discipline problems Solutions: Have a second level task for the more advanced students ie Its time for lunch..etc.Have a back up activity ie making clocks . .
