Learners’ Activity “Good morning, Sir!”

“Let’s pray first…”

(One student will lead the prayer)

(Checking of attendance) …Say present…

(Students raise their hand and say present as the teacher calls in their name)

“Please pick up pieces of paper under your chair”

(Students pick up pieces of paper)

“So how was your weekend?”

“It was good sir!”

“That’s good! Have you enjoyed your weekend bonding with your family?”

“Of course sir! It was a lot of fun.”

“That’s good to know. For this morning our topic will be about trust to God. Do you believe that there’s nothing impossible with God?”

“Yes sir…”

(Shows a picture of a small and big man) “Alright! We have here a picture. What did you see in the picture?”

“There’s a small and a big guy!”

“Does height and size matter?” (The teacher presents the story entitled David and Goliath)

(Answers may vary) (The learners will read the selection in 20 minutes)

B. Analysis Teacher’s Activity “Who are the characters in the story?”

Learners’ Activity “The characters in the story are David and Goliath…”

“Where did the story happen?”

“The story happened in Israel.”

“Who is the main character of the story?”

“The main character of the story is David.”

“What is the conflict in the story?”

“The conflict in the story is the opposing camps of the Israelites and the Philistines. If nobody would fight and defeat Goliath, the giant hero of the Philistines, Israelites will all become slaves.”

“Who decided to fight Goliath?”

“The one who decided to fight Goliath is David.”

C. Abstraction

Teacher’s Activity “What lesson can we get from the story?”

Learners’ Activity “The lesson we can get from the story is that size doesn’t matter. As long as we have God, there’s nothing to fear. All we need to do is to trust in Him.”

“We have different religions. In your own religion, who is God?”

(Answers may vary.)”

“Indeed, God is very important to us.” D. Application The Teacher will group the learners into four. Each group will paint a picture of people who have God in their lives. IV. Evaluation Describe the following. 1. Goliath 2. David 3. God 4. Trust to God. V. Agreement On a whole pad paper, the learners will make a news story anything that has happened in the school.
