LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH I I.

OBJECTIVES: - Recognize describing words for people, objects, things, and places (color, shapes, size, height, weight, length, distance, etc.)

SUBJECT MATTER: TOPIC: ADJECTIVE Curriculum Guide k-12 pp. 20 Teacher guide pp. 368 Materials: Pictures, Chart PROCEDURE:

A. Presentation Drill: Sing a song “I’m a Little Teapot” Motivation: 1. Recite a Poem “Boys and Girls Come Out to Play”

-Then Pupils unlock the meaning of highlighted words in the Poem.   

Supper –the evening meal; dinner Whoop- to shout loudly in an excited way Ladder – something used for climbing to reach high places

2. Sharing Information:  

Showing a picture and ask question about it. Let them share their experiences related to the picture. Talk about the pictures.

Teacher says: What do you see in the picture? That’s right. There are garbage bins

for paper, glass, and plastic. What are they for? What do we put in each one? Have you seen one of those at home, in school, or in your neighborhood? Do you know how to make them? What do you think are other things that we can use as garbage bins? Discuss and brainstorm with your seatmate about the things that we can use as garbage bins. I will give you a few minutes to discuss. Later, I will call some of you to share your ideas in class.

B. Activity: 1. Teacher post picture on the board. Pupils will pick words from the word list that describe the picture. Teacher will discuss the pupils answers. Encourage them to participate the discussion.

2”. Adjective Bingo.” I will give you a bingo card with adjectives written on them. You will go around the room and write down the names of objects and persons that the adjectives in your card describes. When you have completed all the boxes in your card, go back to your seat. Later, we will talk about the naming words you wrote on your card.

c. Summary of the Lesson. 1. Ask the pupils what is adjectives?  Adjectives – are words that describe nouns or pronouns. Adjectives tell or point out the number, size, color, height or the kind of noun being describe.

Evaluation : Direction: Write the sentence in your paper. Encircle the word that describe. 1. The little dog. 2. There are red roses in our garden. 3. My brother John is tall. 4. Our cat is so cute. 5. The sky is blue.

V.

Assignment: Draw your favorite toy. Describe it using adjectives. Do it on your paper.
