Prepare student to be able to name some things in the kitchen and state where they are using simple prepositions.
Objective
Students should be able to say the names of 6 kitchen items and 4 kitchen area terms, say where an item is using 3rd person singular, form the plurals of the items and use 3rd person plural, and use the prepositions correctly.
Knowledge assumed
Students might have some idea of kitchen items and some prepositions. If they do they would probably need practice with use of prepositions.

Students will be assessed through vocab identification activities, vocab handouts, oral vocab activities with utensils and instructions, a word arrangement game on the whiteboard, grammar handouts, and a connect 4 game

I was very, very happy with this class! I think this one was the most exciting, most well-prepared, most cooperative, and smoothest one I've had so far. I had nine students and we had a lot of fun during the different competitive games, and they all seemed very willing to learn the words and phrases. I managed to get through everything with perfect timing as well as get the students to practice the vocab and grammar sufficiently.

Hand out objects to students and have each student identify their object using "This is." Have class repeat. Start music and have students pass around the utensils until the music stops. They have to identify what they're holding. Hand out activity worksheet. Have students work in pairs to fill in the appropriate word that goes with the food item. Have students read aloud answers.

Students who attended *I passed a sign-up sheet around, but I realized it was never handed back to me. I had 9 students, all of whom were wonderful. There were three school girls who seemed to enjoy themselves a lot, and the rest were women ranging from 30 to 50 years. Everyone cooperated, worked with each other, and got a chance to talk and come up to the board. Name Student Name
