Expected Outcomes: students will be able to predict information, to listen and to comprehend spoken information in English; they will be able to identify general and specific information about global warming. Students will be able to state opinions about global warming and will write short sentences to commit themselves to help take care of the environment. Resources: board, markers, data show, laptop. Students will be asked to talk about what they learned in the previous class in order to teach the next content based on their previous knowledge.

Pre-listening: Vocabulary check

The teacher will review some vocabulary words key to understand the video about global warming and students will have to predict what the video is going to be about.

While-listening

Students will watch the video the first time in order to get a general understanding of the information.

The video will be shown a second time. Students will be given a set of questions in order them to know what information they have to look for while listening.

The video will be shown a third time in case students have any doubt left.

Students will be given some minutes to answer write the answers to the questions

Answers will be checked on the board.

Students will have to talk about what they think about the video. The teacher will ask some questions in order students can tell what they do to they do to protect the planet, and the list of actions will be written on the board.
“Little Letters”

Students will have to group in groups of 5. The letters of the alphabet will be randomly projected on the board. A member of the group has to say stop! And the group has to write a word that begins with that letter in 10 seconds. Depending on the color of the letter they will have to write a noun, adjective or verb. Each letter of the word is one point, so there will be considered the longest word for each group. The team with more points wins.
