:Past Simple Tense

♦ The Past Simple tense of regular verbs is formed by adding -ed to the infinitive : (example: Infinitive : to play

Past Simple : I played.)

♦ The auxiliary did is used to form the negative and interrogative forms.

Affirmative I played You played He/she/it played We played You played They played

Interrogative Did I play? Did you play? Did he/she/it play? Did we play? Did you play? Did they play?
