LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAHU WAHDAHU LAASHAREEKKALAHU LAHUL MULKU WALAHUL HAMDU yuhyi wa yumitu biyadihi-l-khayr, WAHUWA ALA KULLI SHYYIN KATHEER There is no god but Allah. He is only One. He has no partners. For Him (is) the Kingdom. And for Him (is) the Praise. He gives life and causes death. In His hand (is) the goodness. And He has power over everything.

Allahu laaa ilaaha illaa huwal haiyul qai-yoom; laa taakhuzuhoo sinatun wa laa nawm; lahoo maa fissamaawaati wa maa fil ard; man zallazee yashfa'u indahooo illaa be iznih; ya'lamu maa baina aideehim wa maa khalfahum; wa laa yuheetoona beshai 'immin 'ilmihee illa be maa shaaaa; wasi'a kursiyyuhus samaa waati wal arda wa

la ya'ooduho hifzuhumaa; wa huwal aliyyul 'azeem "Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth? He knoweth What (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. His throne doth extend Over the heavens And on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory)."

Astaġfiru-llāha rabbī min kulli ḏanbin aḏnabtuhu ʿamadan aw ẖaṭāʾan sirran aw ʿalāniyyatan wa atūbu ilayhi minaḏḏanbi-llaḏī aʿlamu wa mina-llaḏī lā aʿlamu innaka anta ʿallāmu-l-ġuyūbi wa

sattāru-l-ʿuyūbi wa ġaffāru-ḏḏunūbi wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā bi-llāhi-lʿaliyyi-l-ʿaẓīm. I seek forgiveness from God, my Lord, from every sin I committed knowingly or unknowingly, secretly or openly, and I turn towards Him from the sin that I know and from the sin that I do not know. Certainly You, You (are) the knower of the hidden things and the Concealer (of) the mistakes and the Forgiver (of) the sins. And (there is) no power and no strength except from God, the Most High, the Most Great Allāhumma innī aʿūḏu bika min an ušrika bika šayʾan-wwa-anā aʿlamu bihi wastaġfiruka lamā lā aʿlamu bihi tubtu ʿanhu wa tabarrātu mina-l-kufri wa-šširki wa-l-

kiḏbi wa-l-ġībati wa-l-bidʿati wa-nnamīmati wa-l-fawāḥiši wa-l-buhtāna wa-l-maʿāṣī kullihā wa aslamtu wa aqūlu lā ilāha illāllāhu muḥammadu-rasūlu-llāh " O Allah! I seek protection in You from that I should not join any partner with You knowingly. I seek Your forgiveness from that which I do not know. I repent from it (ignorance) I free myself from disbelief and joining partners with You and from all sins. I submit to Your will I believe and I declare: There is none worthy of worship besides Allah and Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) is Allah's Messenger."

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I said to Thabit (May Allah had Mercy upon him) Should I not perform Ruqyah (i.e., recite supplication or Quranic Ayat and blow) over you, such supplication as was practised by the Messenger of Allah (‫"?)ﷺ‬ He said: "Please do so." Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) supplicated: "Allahumma Rabban-nasi, adh-

hibal-ba'si, washfi AntashShafi, la shafiya illa Anta, shifa'an la yughadiru saqaman [O Allah! the Rubb of mankind! Take away this disease and cure (him or her). You are the Curer. There is no cure except through

You. Cure (him or her), a cure that leaves no disease]." [Al-Bukhari].
