Lab: #2 Title: Examination of Soil Profile in Different Location Date: November 10 ,2018 Aim: To determine the most suitable soil profile for planting Material: shovel, ruler, soil Procedure: 1. Materials was gathered 2. North, South, East, and West of the compound was travelled to and a hole was created with the shovel 3. The depth of the hole was measured with the ruler 4. After that the type of soil profile was determined 5. Results was recorded in a table form. Results: Location

Discussion: Sand is a granular material composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles. Clay is a stiff, sticky fine-grained earth, typically yellow, red, or bluish- gray in color and often forming an impermeable layer in the soil. Loam soil is a combination soil, normally equal parts of clay, silt, and sand.
Conclusion: In conclusion the most suitable soil for planting would be Loam because sand, silt, and clay together provide desirable characteristics for crop to grow.
