COURSE SYNOPSIS This course gives a basic knowledge to prepare drawings required for construction, production, process layout, fabrication, manufacturing etc. This course emphasizes on the graphical communication in design through an understanding and application of pictorial projection, orthographic projections and engineering drawing

COURSE OBJECTIVES 1. To understand the fundamental for constructing engineering drawings. 2. To develop an engineering drawing according to the standards. 3. To utilise the AutoCAD software as engineering drawing software. 1

Your notebook will be graded. Lecture slides will not be provided. *Each student is required to prepare one USB pen drive for saving lab works, assignments and test answers. This USB pen drive must not be used for other courses. *Lab Works are to be completed during the lab hours and need to be submitted at the end of lab sessions. All Lab works must be save properly in the USB pen drive. *Assignments are required to be submitted at the beginning of the following lectures (assignment on week 1 is due at the beginning of lecture on week 2 etc.). All softcopy of the assignments must be save in the USB pen drive. *Marks will be deducted for every late submission.
