This month is the official kick-off to our biggest event every year, the Volleyball Marathon! The VBM will be held on February 27, 2009. VBM singlehandedly raises the most money out of all the events we hold. For those of you who don’t know, the Marathon is basically a volleyball tournament. Anybody can sign up a team, and everyone has a chance to win! But as with most big events, there is a lot of planning and work to be done. So, we have split the work into committees. The committees and their chairpersons are as follows: FOOD COMMITTEE: Responsible for having dinner for possibly over 30 teams and snacks for all the spectators HEAD CHAIRPERSON: Vice President Annie Rubino ASSISTING OFFICERS: Assistant Editor Alex Crane, Treasurer Patty Han, Membership Director Elliot Crane, Technology Director Aditya Gupta

PUBLICITY COMMITTEE: Responsible for making sure everyone knows about VBM and for motivating people to play and attend as spectators HEAD CHAIRPERSON: Public Relations Director Jackie Cheng ASSISTING OFFICERS: Membership Director Dan Rivera, Public Relations Director Anthony Giambra, Historian MaryMay Kozlik INVITATIONS COMMITTEE: Responsible for hand delivering and sending out personalized letters to local organizations, MTHS Clubs, and all MTHS faculty, personally inviting them to form teams and/or to attend the Marathon HEAD CHAIRPERSON: Corresponding Secretary Jennie Penque ASSISTING OFFICER: Recording Secretary Kristine Naputo DECORATING COMMITTEE: Responsible for making sure the atmosphere for the Marathon is exciting and motivating for everyone in attendance HEAD CHAIRPERSON: Editor Isra Shaikh ASSISTING OFFICER: Treasurer Meenakshi Mehra, Historian Grace Son

1st Annual Key Club Holiday Party! Get in the holiday spirit with Key Club! MTHS Key Club is holding its first-ever holiday party. This party is to celebrate the overwhelming success of our service year so far, and to bring the next year. The party will include free food and drinks for all

Key Clubbers in attendance, and will also have holiday crafts that will be made for the Children’s Specialized Hospital. All members are encouraged to attend! The holiday party is Tuesday, December 9, in the Cafeteria afterschool. Look for the flyers for RSVP information!
