Romanian fighter jet hit by UFOs Officials from the Romanian Defense Military confirmed that one of their MiG-21 Lancer fighter planes was struck by four Unidentified Flying Objects on October 31, 2007, which shattered the plane’s cockpit. The military also released a video captured by the plane’s on-board camera as it was flying above Transylvania. The recording shows solid bodies, which authorities are working to determine the identity of. Officials have already been able to determine the bodies were not birds or pieces of another plane, a meteorite or ice. Rocket launches and ground artillery shots were also ruled out as possible explanations for the incident. The pilot, Marin Mitrica, was injured slightly but managed to safely land the plane. A similar incident happened in the United States in 1948. Captain Mantell, of the Kentucky Air National Guard, was sent to intercept a UFO that was in US airspace, and allegedly, he was shot down by the UFO.

“Killer nerd”executed Japan on Tuesday executed three people including notorious serial killer Tsutomu Miyazaki, a fetishist convicted of murdering four young girls and eating parts of their bodies, officials said. Miyazaki, 45, was nicknamed the “killer nerd” for his obsession with sexual cartoons and pornography. Miyazaki was arrested in July 1989 while trying to take naked pictures of a girl outdoors and the details that emerged from his case stunned Japan. He had confessed to having killed four girls, aged between four and seven and eating some of the remains of two of them. Miyazaki mutilated the bodies of the victims, slept next to the corpses and drank their blood. He sent letters to the media under a woman’s name claiming responsibility for the crimes and sent a box containing the remains of one girl to her family. His father, unable to come to terms with what his son did, jumped into a river to his death in 1994.
The United States Department of the Interior today listed the polar bear as a threatened species under the Endangered Species. The polar bear is the first animal to be protected under the Endangered Species Act due to the threat that global warming poses to the bears’ Arctic habitat. Some environmental groups say they could use the designation to protest the construction of coal power plants located thousands of miles away from the Arctic, which they blame for contributing to greenhouse gases and global warming. If sea ice continues to melt, twothirds of the polar bear population could be gone by 2050.

Forgotten WW1 Soldiers mass grave found The remains of 170 Australian troops who died in the Battle of Fromelles, have been found in a mass grave outside of the town of Fromelles, France. The graves also contain a total of around 230 British troops. Fought during July 19-20, 1916, the Battle of Fromelles was a complete disaster for the Allies, with the Germans achieving a decisive victory and the Australians sustaining over 5,000 casualties in less than a day. Following the battle, the Germans dug eight 40-meter long pits to bury the dead Allied soldiers. Five of the eight pits are thought to contain Australian soldiers, while the other three appear to contain battlefield debris.
