July 4th Freedom Festival (FUN EVENT): Join us at the NMAWC base for a 4th of July celebration. There will be food and drink vendors, games, car show, and fireworks. Families welcome. Free admission. (SATURDAY, 4 JULY, 1500-2200)

Feeding America San Diego: Join us on Thursday evenings to help your local food bank. We will be sorting and stocking the food bank to make sure our local San Diegans in need are fed. (THURSDAY, 9 JULY AND 30 JULY 1800-2000) KIDS ARE WELCOME AGES 6 AND UP. PLEASE INFORM US IF YOU ARE BRINGING A CHILD. (40 VOLUNTEERS MAX) Ronald McDonald House: Come help move supplies from older homes to newly built Ronald McDonald Homes. We need help moving/unpacking boxes, organizing. (SATURDAY, 11 JULY, 0900-1200) (35 VOLUNTEERS MAX)
San Diego Crime Victims Oak Garden: The Oak Garden is a memorial to victims of violent crime in San Diego. Volunteer to help maintain memorials and other projects in the garden. (SATURDAY, 18 JULY (0900-1400) FREE 18 Crime Victims LUNCH PROVIDED!!! (25 VOLUNTEERS MAX.) Oak Garden 0900-1400

Grossmont Gardens Retirement Home: Give back to your San Diego veterans. This retirement home is looking for active duty personnel who would be willing to come and “talk shop” with retired vets. 20 July is movie and conversation night. 27 July is cards and game night. (MONDAY, 20 JULY AND 27 JULY, 1900-2030) (20 VOLUNTEERS MAX, PLEASE WEAR A UNIFORM ON 20 JULY) Neighborhood Exchange: We have partnered up with the San Diego Food Bank! Volunteers needed for unloading food from a semi-truck for hundreds of families for a free food giveaway. Also needed for set up, carrying food to cars and breakdown. Permission needed from your command as it is on a work day. (THURSDAY, 23 JULY 0900-1300) (20 VOLUNTEERS MAX) Surfrider Foundation Beach Clean Up: We will be cleaning up South Mission Beach. Children of all ages are welcome. (SATURDAY, 25 JULY, 0900-1100)
