Why number of students studying abroad in ASIA not high? - Parents afraid about safety and living condition ( different culture and environment) in Asian countries - The thinking that Japan is the safest country in the world, and other countries food/condition somehow being inferior. - America and Canada have their reputation regarding English training for years (pre-culture understanding through movies, comic..) - Program promotion in Japan market is inefficient to approach to JP students - Culture and Nation advertisement has not reached young citizens 2. Why the number of students studying abroad still not high? - Economic restraints - Conflict with job hunting activities - Linguistic anxiety - Fixed ideas among educators 3. Selling points: DEVELOP CONFIDENCE IN SPEAKING ENGLISH - 96% speaking English is non- native speakers, later on Japanese is going to work with Asian countries-> Asian English - International environment - Affordable Price 4. What students can get after the English class? - Become more confidence, less shy - Dont afraid to make mistake - Boost their motivation in studying English and becoming global citizen 5. English Program flow Butterfly lìe span Eggs – Caterpiller – Pupa – Butterfly First week: Activities contribute to break the shyness and mistake anxious of students -> Make them more open, and ready for the English course Caterpiller- Students step out of their comfort zone, become more confident and active in daily life Pupa- 2 weeks- Students start their English course, practicing their English and more open, confident, active Butterfly- last week- Internship at company/ Volunteer program/ Culture immerse program - show time – make use of what they have learnt from English course  Current activities addition: o 30 minutes group English based activities in the morning o  Current English course changes: o One to one English buddy ( by Brunei interns)/ twice a week o Combine Music- Movie- Film into one class o Double Job hunting classes 1 WEEK internship notes: - Need to work with students first and ask for their preparation in advance, detailed contents about company, upcoming internship position - Arrange skype meeting between Students - FISEC coordinator, studentssupervisor before they arrive in Danang at least 2 weeks in advance.
