Mt. Nebo was the perceived burial site of Moses. We also visited the church that housed the first map of the holy land
Madaba
Madaba
We found a café in the city to have amazing falafels at. There were also pictures of king Hussain everywhere
The dead sea Because of the salt content we were able to float in the ocean without any strength
Our desert adventure started of with a 2 hour camel ride to reach our camp where we watched the beautiful sunset in the sand dunes and then got warm by the fire and watched the stars light up the sky
Wadi RUm
The sunset we watched was absolutely incredible. It was a particularly romantic setting! And the sky was lighted by hues of orange, reds and purples
The desert
Jebel Khash
Jebel Khash was the first mt. we hiked up. It took about 3 hours and then we went to a rare rock formation, which naturally became a bridge over the years. Only the brave dared to climb up!
Not showering for 3 days was delightful and we definitely had to get used to living in our tents, miles away from any civilization!
Our C
Jebel Um Adaami
The camel ride was particularly painful after the first hour! We traveled in small groups with our camels all the way to our camps.
Hanging out on the beach by the red sea.
We traveled on a glass bottom boat to clearly see the ship wreckage beneath us
AQaba: The Red Sea
After living off of pita bread and hummus for three days, we grabbed a bite of some Popeye’s chicken
PETRA We got to trek through Petra, one of the new wonders of the world. The Nabateans created this amazing construction in 100 BCE.
Petra was beautiful! It was entirely rock-cut; the Nabateans carved temples and tombs right out of the sandstone.
