JOB TITLE: RELEASE MANAGER COMPANY: IDBI FORTIS LOCATION: BANGALORE SALARY:RS 25000 TO RS 35000 REPORTING AUTHORITY: PROJECT MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY •

Implement codes/releases changes across all applications within the company (MFUND, ELIXIR, Acknowledgement System, C2S2)



Be the single point of contact for all changes that are done to the application level files and also the database ( for database along with DBA)



All changes will be routed through the release manager( including Data Fixes)



Solely responsible for moving changes to the UAT and the Production Environment



Maintain a repository of all changes done to all applications on a daily basis in the production and the UAT environment



Maintain the Configuration Management Library for all application code including SQLs & procs, Data fix SQLs ( Data fixes & Database patches to be applied by DBA).



Maintain the access privileges to the configuration management library



Ensure that changes are implemented only after proper sign off and no code / fixes without approval should be moved to production



Ensure DR environment is in Sync with that of production environment all the time.

JOB SPECIFICATION  EDUCATION: B.TECH/B.E (C.S)/M.C.A.  EXPERIENCE: ATLEAST 2 YRS ON SAME PLATFORM .

 TECHNICAL SKILLS: – Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL , Unix Scripting, compilers – Configuration management tools like Microsoft VSS(visual Source safe) n CVS(Concurrent versioning system) etc – Experience on Configuration Management package  RESPONSIBILITIES: – Defect management – Release management and Quality Management.

• Able to work within a structured methodology to specified processes and procedures • Ability to work with minimum supervision and to escalate issues as and when required • Control & Track all software builds to be released - Make Sure that the software is consistent between versions & is traceable • Collect information to help improve the future release process • Able to prioritize, execute and deliver projects on time. Able to successfully handle multiple projects.
