Honorable Eliot Spitzer Office of the Govemor State Capitol Albany, New York 12224 Dear Governor Spitzer: In response to the 2008 Executive Recommended Budget, thank you for reappropriating $25 million to remediate and redevelop parkland property that was designated as a part of the Nissequogue River State Park in Decernber 2006.

Your positive action on this request for the second year in a=?ow demonstrates a strong commitment to recognizing and serving the interests of the Kings Park community. It is my ilope and expectation that together we can make even further progress on this issue in the comini year by allocating a portion of these park funds for actual capital improvements at this location. The residents of Kings Park have been more than patient in waiting for real and significant change to occur at this site. By transforming dollars into action, the communitv,s trust and confldence can be restored.
