GREETINGS TO YOU IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF OUR SAVIOR AND LORD JESUS CHRIST

INWARD PART “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” Romans 2: 28-29. So God sees that what we are inwardly but not that what we are outwardly. Circumcision, offerings, sacrifices; baptism, prayers and attending the Church all these are outward signs of one’s belief toward God. If our inward parts are not clean though we do all these things yet they are mere waste. For God says in Isaiah 29: 13 “Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men.” Hence it is very important that what we are inwardly. WHAT IS THERE IN INWARD PART?

Once a Pharisee invited Jesus to dine with him and Jesus went into his house and sat at the table to eat. When the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that Jesus did not wash before dinner. For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands they eat nothing. And there are many other customs, which they have received and hold to, as the washing of cups, pots, brazen vessels and of tables. Then Jesus replied and said to him, “Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.” Luke 11:39. This is what we have in our inward parts in spite of our outward cleanness. Do you know how great this wickedness is, my Brother and Sister? Please see in Genesis 6: 5-6, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.” We know what God did unto the people; because of the wickedness of men He had to destroy all of them from the earth. Man’s wickedness is so great in the sight of God. It is not just enough to clean our outward parts but it is very important to clean our inward parts to please God. HOW TO CLEAN IT?

The bible says in Proverbs 20:27, “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.”

If we need to search and clean our inward parts, the spirit that God put within us should burn continually. Jesus said in Luke 15: 8, “Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?” Since this woman lighted the candle to search the coin, she could find it; had she not lighted the candle it would have been very difficult for her to search and find it. When we have the wickedness in us the whole inward part is full of darkness. We need the candle to give us the light and the candle is 'our spirit' given by God. But unfortunately, we ourselves cannot light our spirits and cleanse our inward parts. The Bible says in John 1: 9-12, “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” Then who is that true light? Jesus says in John 8:12, “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” So Jesus is that true light and makes our spirits burn. After all we are created by Him and for Him, if we have Jesus in us we have full of light in our inward parts and Jesus will cleanse the wickedness that is within us.

We need Jesus who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks in heaven (Revelation 2:1) to make our inward parts clean and full of light. Jesus is knocking the door of our hearts today my Brother and Sister, if we listen and open the door of our hearts He will come, dwell in us and we will dwell in the light and our inward parts will be clean. BURN ALWAYS

Now, the important thing is that it is not just enough to see that our spirits are lighted but we should also see that they should burn continually. God told Moses in Exodus 27: 20-21, “And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.” God desires the same thing from us; the lamps, which are our spirits given by Him, should burn continually. WHAT WE NEED TO DO?

We need to hear the word of God and keep it in our inward part so that our spirits may burn continually. David says in Psalms 119: 105, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

The word of God which is the lamp for all of our ways in this world should burn in our inward parts. The same Word of God makes our spirits, which are the lamps, to burn continually. When it happens? David says in Psalms 1: 1- 2, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Meditation means not just focusing on what we read and listen from the Word of God but practicing and doing according to the Word of God. Paul says in Romans 2: 13, “For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.” Hence David said in Psalms 119: 11, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” What happens when we do so? “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4: 12. The Word of God goes into our inward parts and makes them clean before God. So when we meditate the Word of God day and night our inward part will be full of light, burn continually and will be clean. SWEETER THAN HONEY "How sweet are thy words unto my taste yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth.” Psalms 119: 103. We know that the honey is sweet. It doesn’t matter whether we eat it today, tomorrow or many days latter, the taste remains the same because the honey is sweet. Same way, we may read the Word of God at any time or any number of times, the taste remains the same because it is sweeter than anything else. He is same yesterday, today and forever. Amen. The more we read the Word of God the more we receive the strength. Hence my Brother and Sister let us meditate the Word of God day and night so that our lamps, which are our spirits, burn continually and make our Father in Heaven happy. We have seen so far that the Word of GOD should be in our inward parts so that our spirits burn continually. Now we see one more thing that we need, to keep our spirits burn ...

continually. THE TRUTH

King David says in Psalms 51: 6, “Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.” God desires the truth in our inward parts; because the same truth helps our spirits burn with out ceasing. By the way what is the truth? Once Pilate the Roman Governor who was judging Jesus when He was arrested, asked Jesus, “What is truth?” But before Jesus gave any answer Pilate went out of the room and failed to understand the real meaning of truth. Today we need to understand about the truth and what actually David means when he says, ‘thou desirest truth in the inward parts.’ Please see 1 John 1: 6-10, “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son

cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”

We have seen that we need the Word of God in our inward parts that our spirits burn continually. See what the same word of God says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” If we say, the Word of God is in us and do not accept that we are sinners, we are making the same Word of God as a lie, because we are doing contrary to the Word of God. How can, then, our spirits burn in us? If we say we have the Word of God in us, we should also say that we are sinners. Hence the above verse says if we say that we have not sinned, we make God a liar and His word is not in us. If the Word of God is not in us how can our spirits burn continually? So we have to acknowledge that we are sinners; only then we have truth in us and the same truth helps our spirits burn continually. This is what God desires from us. HOW TO GET RID OF THE SIN THAT IS IN US?

Just by confessing them before God. Please see once again 1 John 1: 9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” If we do this He is ready to forgive us. The Bible says in Psalms 86: 5, “For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.” Let us see how the truth set David free, how God forgave him and how his spirit burnt continually. We know that David once sinned against God. When he came to know this fact through Prophet Nathan, immediately he went to God and confessed his sin. Please see Psalm 51: 1-5, “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” David confessed boldly that he was a sinner since the day he was born. God saw not the sin but the truth in his inward parts and forgave him and used him as His servant. Jesus, who is also the truth according to John 14: 6, came to this world from the same womb of David. Hence David boldly says, ‘thou desirest truth in the inward parts.’ So my Brother and Sister, we need to confess our sins everyday before the Lord that our spirits should burn continually. It is not just enough to confess once or twice but we should confess continually, because Jesus says in Mathew 6: 34, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Everyday we do mistakes small or big, knowingly or unknowingly. But when we confess our sins continually the precious blood of Jesus Christ cleanses our inward parts and makes them clean before God; and our spirits will burn and shine continually.

We have learnt that “The Word of God” and “the Truth” which God desires from our inward parts and also seen that they help our spirits to burn continually. Now let us see finally, one more important thing that God requires from our inward parts.

King David prays unto God like this. “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalms 51:10. According to this verse we see that God wants a right spirit from our clean heart. In fact all the things that we have meditated make our heart clean and finally we need to have the right spirit also. WHAT IS THE RIGHT SPIRIT?

Please see this verse from the Bible. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:5-8. We can have the right spirit only when we have right faith in our God and when we are stable in all our ways. Hence James says, if we have doubts we can receive nothing from the Lord and we will be like the waves of the sea that have no base to stand. Though God did many miracles before the eyes of Israelites when they were in the wilderness, many a times they murmured against God. Many of them could not enter into the Promised Land; the reason is that they had no right spirit because of their lack of faith in God. Hence the Word of God says, “But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because sought they it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” Romans 9:31-33. THE RIGHT SPIRIT LEADS TO MOST HOLY FAITH

Once Apostle Paul went and preached the Gospel to Galatians. After a while some people went and preached them another gospel which is not from the Lord and they turned so quickly from the faith that Paul wrote them with great pain saying, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:” Galatians 1:6. What was the reason? They didn’t have the right spirit. When we have the right spirit no matter what happens in our life we hold the most holy faith and do as Jude says, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” Jude 1:20-21. THE RIGHT SPIRIT MAKES US REJOICE

In this world we face many trials, tribulations, and tests in our spiritual journey. Whatever we may face we need the right spirit with right faith. The Prophet Habakkuk says, “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.” Habakkuk 3:17-19.

This is the real faith from the right spirit. Otherwise we cannot please our Father, which is in Heaven.

THE RIGHT SPIRIT HELPS US TO FINISH OUR RACE

If we have this kind of right spirit then we are like, as Jesus said, a person that built his house on the rock. Only then we can finish our spiritual run race as Paul finished. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

We need right faith and right spirit to finish our race. “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2. LET US LIVE FOR CHRIST

My Brother and Sister, please remember once again the verse, “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” Proverbs 20:27. So let us have the Word of God, the Truth and the right spirit in our inward parts that our candle burn continually for the Glory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

May God Bless You.

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." John 16:13

He died for you
