Introduction- Set out purpose of session, way of getting attention Community- Who are The group stand/sit in a circle with Wool they connected with? one volunteer in the middle. Who can they Students call out examples of influence? groups that are in their community. The person in the centre throws the wool to one person showing the link/ability to influence. They throw it back to the centre person who passes the wool around their body and then throws it to another ‘group’ and so on creating a web. Setting your goalStudents divide into school Large sheet of students start planning groups. Each group writes a goal paper (for map), their campaign to be achieved by December onto post-it notes, pens a post-it note e.g. get 100 friends/peers to take action Which actions? Brainstorm actions considering the Posters showing different types displayed on kinds of actions posters/flip charts (3 mins) on walls (community, Each group reads through the lifestyle, political) action cards and determines whether they fulfill the criteria Action/activity including whether they are exciting cards (including for their community, doable.etc. some blank ones) Select three actions/activities maximum (from action cards & own ideas to complete before December.. (6 mins)

Activity Work up campaigns plan- groups discuss how to make sure they reach their goal. Answering the key questions they fill in their campaigns plan on the wall with different coloured paper representing different types of resources etc.
