Year End Giving All tithes, offerings and other donations need to be received in the DFC Business Office by 5:00 pm on December 31st or postmarked no later than Dec. 31st to receive contribution credit in 2008. If you have questions regarding your 2008 giving or need info concerning other giving opportunities, such as stock or non-cash donations, please call Rich Cantwell, Business Administrator, at 303/761-8370 or email [email protected]. Giving statements will be mailed the last week of January, 2009. Thank you for your continued support!

Children’s Department This Wednesday night, December 31st, the Children’s Department is taking a holiday break. Normal Wednesday night programming resumes January 7th.

Celebration Choir & Orchestra Spring Season

GPS Class Retreat The Grace Place Singles Class retreat will be rescheduled from January 9-11 to later in 2009! For more info, contact Randy at 720/771-0414.

West Campus Needs a Freezer If you have a chest style deep freezer that you can donate to the West Campus, please call Cenida Suyen at 303/990-3328.

Women of the Word Begins Jan. 13 and Jan. 14 This women’s Bible study meets either Tuesday’s during the day at 8:15 - 10:30 am or Wednesday nights at 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Both days meet in the Fellowship Hall. Info: Karen Gunstream at 303/805-8660.

Happy New Year! It’s a great day to have the opportunity to worship together as a family in God’s house. Even though Jane and I are away for yet another week, we do want to welcome you and to share our gratitude for your continued prayer support, your cards and calls during the weeks we’ve been away. God has been so good and we’ve learned a great deal about His providence and care. God willing, we will be back next Sunday and I’m looking forward to being in the pulpit.

Today we are so blessed to have one of our favorites preaching for us. Dr. Jim Bond served for a number of years as General Superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene. Now retired, he and his lovely wife Sally live in Colorado Springs. He has filled the pulpit for us often and I know you will not be disappointed with his message today.

Sign up at the Men’s Booth (regardless of gender) by Wed., Jan 7. Info: 303/791-1330. Youth Ski Day - New Year’s Day! Our 7th - 12th graders will be taking a ski trip to Arapahoe Basin on New Year’s Day! Parents and younger siblings (accompanied by a parent) welcome! Please be at DFC at 6:30 am and we will return by 6:30 pm. Please bring ski/snowboard equipment (helmets mandatory) and lunch money or a sack lunch. Youth lift tickets are $35. Instruction will be provided for “beginner” or “never ever” skiers. Please call the Youth Office for more info. Divorce Care, Friday, January 9 We begin this 12 week session for the New Year! DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Meet in the Garden Level Auditorium at 6:00 pm first for dinner.
