Initial Plan Notes

Initial Plan Notes    For my initial plan I decided to split my task into sections, this allowed me to think  about what each section involved before I started to allocate how long each task  would take.   I used 6 subheadings to split my time up these were:  1. Analysis   2. Initial Design   3. Prototyping and Formative Testing   4. Summative testing  5. Documentation  6. Hand Over     In each of these sections I thought about all of the things which the task would  involve and allocated an appropriate amount of time to each.     I have allocated a total of 15.25 days to my first section analysis; this includes having  initial meetings with my client and gathering all relevant information about the  project. This will enable me to come up with some initial designs.       My second section is initial designs I have allocated a total of 4 days for this section.  This section uses the information which I have gathered from my client to create and  receive feedback about the initial designs.    The third section which I have created is prototyping and formative testing; I have  allowed a total of 73 days for this section to be completed. In this section the whole  of the flash application needs to be completed. I have left 5 days for each of my  scenes and then an extra day or two for each of them depending on how  complicated the features which I have included in the scene are. I have also left a  total of 14 days contingency so that if anyone on the project falls ill or we have a  problem with the computers the project will not fall behind. I have included the  formative testing of each of the scenes into the 5 day allowance for each of the  scenes. Doing this will allow me to test that all of my buttons are working and all of  the features that I have included in my application work.     The next section which I have created is summative testing, I have allowed a total of  10 days for this section, and in this section I will create a test plan and insure that all  of the features and buttons are working in my application.    The fifth section which I have created is called documentation, I have allowed 6 days  for this section, and this section will include a getting started with instructions and  an auto run CD. This CD will then be sent to my client.     My final section is the Hand Over of the application to my client. I have allowed a  total of 2.25 days I have allowed this time so that my client and I can find a suitable  time for me to hand over the project and gather any final feedback about the project 

over all.  I will also have to conduct an end of project review meeting which will be  held at the end of the hand over to my client.
