Timeline of Events • First bomb explodes in a backpack mounted device carried by a suicide bomber inside the nightclub Paddy’s Pub – 11:05pm Local Time • Second bomb exploded in a van outside the Sari Club leaving a one-meter deep crater – 15seconds after the first bomb at 11:05pm • Third bomb explodes at the United States Consulate in Denpesar, Bali – Minutes after the first two bombs

Suspects
Imam Samudra, Amrozi Nurhasyim and Mukhlas Ghufron were executed by firing squad on November 9th, 2008
Trials • One week after the blasts an audio cassette carrying a recorded message from Osama Bin Laden was found saying the Bali bombings were in direct relation for support of the United States’ war on terror and Australia’s role in the liberation of East Timor • Indonesian Chief of Police said that the Bali Bombings was the worst act of terror in Indonesian’s history • The organization suspected of responsibility of the bombings was Jemaah Islamiyah an Islamist group led by radical Abu Bakar Bashir
