Save money and still look fabulous! Even during economic uncertainty, I’m going to show you how you can still look fabulous and not break the bank. Did you know that the number one selling item during any time of economic crisis is lipstick? Research has shown that this is the cheapest way for one to still feel fashionable. Everyone needs a little pick me up. Tough times are no exception. In the coming weeks I’m going to show you how to save money and still get the quality services you deserve. With the holidays right around the corner, now is a perfect time to start a new beauty regimen. Let’s start with hair. Something just feels so wrong about a beautifully dressed women with two inch roots. Don’t wait for that tax return, honey. You know who you are girls! You’re the ones with the black and white poney tail. Here’s something you can try at home. After rubbing yesterdays mascara off of your chin stagger to the nearest bathroom mirror, pull hair loosely into your favorite pony tail. If you look like you’re wearing clip on hair from

4. For you long hair lovers, when the last four inches of your hair are transparent its probably time to schedule a visit. Again, my phone number is 330-835-4510, I can help. Keeping your hair strong now will prevent unecessary upkeep in Here are my budget friendly tips the future. Split ends are the cancer when visiting your favorite salon: of strong healthy hair. Don’t wait. Claire’s, you should keep reading. Your first phone call for the day should be to your hair colorist!! My phone number is 330-8354510, to schedule an appointment.

1. Color should be retouched no longer than every 8 weeks. (Thats 2 months). When trying to save money and still look fabulous, going with a more natural hue will allow for a more graceful grow out. 2. Opt-out of the blow dry/style. You won’t be able to do it as good as me the next day anyway. Just put that extra twenty bucks into separating that bushy unibrow. 3. Although I find this ridiculous, some salons (not mine) charge extra for a shampoo. If you visit one of these “fine” establishments, save the extra dollar and shampoo that hot mess at home before hand.

Why do we toast? The practice of toasting originated in Ancient Greece, at a time when fear of poisoning was a significant concern. My name is Droplet because I was left outside in the rain with my babies. I love to play with toys. I don`t mind dogs, in fact I pretty much could care less about any other dog or cat just so long as I have a lap to sit on and a hand to pet me. I'm about 2 yrs old and I'd like to talk to you and see how your day is going. If you need someone to talk to, get me. I listen first then talk second. Artist of the Week

by Athena

Introducing Tom Guarino

Tom’s upcoming preformances: Wed. Nov 26th at Scorchers: 9pm to 11:30pm. 491 Waterloo Rd. Thurs. Dec 11th at Tasty Jones' : 9pm to 11pm. 1714 Merriman Rd.

Tom Guarino has recently moved back to Akron after 10 years of living and performing in the New York CIty club and cafe scene. He attributes his music style to the great music that extended down from the Cleveland music scene of the 70's and 80's. His influences come from bands such as The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Browne, Genesis, Yes, Springsteen, and many more. Guarino earned a Bachelor's Degree in music from the University of Akron, studying classical and jazz guitar while playing in a variety of bands. Tom began to find his niche as more of a solo acoustic performer, playing the local and regional cafe and club scene. I stumbled on him performing at Tasty Jones' on Merriman Rd in the valley. As I listened to him perform covers along with his original music it became clear he was a great musician and vocalist. He did justice to every cover song he sang and kept my attention while he performed his original songs. An amazing performer who can rely on his musical talent which I feel will inevitably get him where he wants to go with his music career. "I really enjoy the high-wire act of performing solo or even as a duet," says Guarino. "Some of my most inspired moments as a lover of music were simply watching someone playing solo piano or guitar. If they are really laying it all out there, it can feel like you're witnessing something very pure and rare. I'm motivated to try and communicate on that level of abstract communication." Check out live performances at www.youtube.com. Also make sure to check out his new video which can be viewed at www.famecast.com/tomguarino Guarino's latest effort, "Lost Souls," an acoustic rock album, contains 11 original songs, and is now available for purchase through this website, www.tomguarino.com. While primarily acoustic based, it offers a variety of influences and perspectives, yet all the while centered on a common theme. I listened to the whole album and each song came across as a great story. I want to always showcase artists who bring everything to the table, amazing songwriting, crazy musicianship, perfect vocals, and a great performance. Tom Guarino brings it all to the table. I say if you have a free night, spend it wherever he is performing.
