How Angry is God With the Wicked...? (“God is angry with the wicked everyday...” Psa 7:11) 1) Existence without CHRIST is itself a sin (“...the plowing of the wicked, is sin.” Prov. 21:4) [See Psa 95:7-8 with Heb. 3:8, 15; 4:7) 2) There is only Death in the sinners way (“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Prov. 16:25; Rom. 6:23) 3) Any way of SALVATION outside of faith is sin in GOD’S eyes (“...whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” Rom. 14:23) I- Angry Enough to: A) Drown a whole world (Gen. 6) B) Burn Sodom (Gen. 19:12-13) C) Curse all Flesh (“...Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.” Gal.3:10) D) Condemn Sinners to Hell 1- The Ultimate Judgement (“...Hell Fire.” Matt. 5:22) 2- The Final end (“...to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matt. 10:28) 3- The Eternal Condition (“...how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” Matt. 23:33) II- Angry Enough that: A) Sin needed to be Purged (Atoned for) with Blood (“...for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” Lev. 17:11 – See also Ex 30:10) B) Sin could not be Purged Without Blood (“...without shedding of blood is no remission.” Heb. 9:22) C) Sin can always be Purged with Blood (“How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Heb. 9:14) III- Not so Angry that God cannot forgive sin: A) Cleanliness is Possible (“...though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isa. 1:18) B) Sin’s condition can be interrupted – Continued Sin keeps you from God (“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.:Isa. 59:1-2) C) Come to Christ (“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Rom. 8:1)
