Yes.

Okay. I’m taking this statement in reference to the events of August 20, 2008, that occurred during the PRP football practice. Uh, please describe the events of that practice from the beginning to the end that you can remember?
Healey
Well, pretty much all (inaudible)…, that day was the gassers.
Butler
Okay.
Healey
I mean dull day, you know, we just going separate drills, but I wasn’t there with Max.
Butler
Okay.
Healey
But, uh, when we was running coach had me stop, because I couldn’t breathe no more and. Then right when I turned around Max was on the ground. So, we just stood around and then after I got water and everything. That’s when it happened, and we took a knee. And, they took Max off the field on one of them little gator things. And, then he told us not even to uh, go down on pride, get off the field.

Okay. Uh, now I’ma ask you some specifics about that?

Um-hum.

The practice. Uh, how are water breaks given, individually or as a team?
Healey
Uh, one sections you know uh, defense and offense lines..

Like position?

Yeah.

And, you don’t have, after a brea…, or the routine, then he allows us to get water.
Butler
Okay. Uh, on August 20th, 2008, how many water breaks uh, did you take?
Healey
Probably about 4 or 5.
Butler
Okay. After the last water break uh, what did practice consist of?
Healey
That was the end of that practice, I didn’t have to run no more.
Butler
Okay. And, that would’ve been after you did the gassing?
Healey
Yeah.
Butler
Okay. You, so you all had the water break before you did the gassings?

Yeah.

Okay. Uh, why was the team running the gassers?
Healey
Uh, because we wasn’t in shape, and that was conditioning.

Okay. Uh, how many gassers did your group run?
Healey
Awe, I know I did over 15.
Butler
Okay.

I know easy that, that’s when I stopped counting ‘em.

Now, the, the team was split into 2 groups light and heavy?
Healey
Yeah.

Okay. Which group were you in?
Healey
I was on heavy.
Butler
Okay. Uh, how many gassers uh, did you run before you took off any gear?
Healey
Uh, it was probably towards on the 12th gasser.

Okay. And, then after you took off your helmet, shoulder pads. How many more gassers do you think you ran?
Healey
About the 14th.

So, 2 more after that?

About the, yeah.

Okay. Uh, how long total do you think that the team was running gassers?
Healey
Um, probably about 35 minutes.

Not even probably that or less.

Okay. Uh, did you or any of your teammates uh, ask for water breaks while they were running gassers?
Healey
Um-hum.

Did you hear anybody else asking for it?
Healey
No.

Stinson, but I mean I wasn’t really paying attention.

Well, there was this one black dude, but he had to go to the hospital. He couldn’t breathe and.

Uh, probably right at the end of gassers, when they was walking Max.

Yeah. Uh, I told that coach I couldn’t run no more, and he said all right. Said uh, told talk to the other coach and he gave me an inhaler.
