Day 20 (Sun 14 May) Now we head back to the Loire valley, to Montbrison. This is a typical transfer morning experience. Distinguished Frenchmen standing, looking at the pile of luggage, looking at the vehicles, looking back at the luggage. We always managed to get everything and everyone in. We begin with a visit to a new church, St. Pierreās, under construction. Unusual look and really amazing acoustics, followed, of course, by a little lunch.
We see more spectacular views, another ancient medieval town overlooking the Loire River.
We are hosted for supper by Michel, whose cat is less enthusiastic but minded his manners. They even create guacamole for us in an international gesture of gastronomic friendship & goodwill.
