Rubric for Group Work Criteria
Excellent 25 points
Good 20 points
Satisfactory 15 points
Needs Improvement 10 points
All the students in the group (5 or 6) consistently contribute in a positive way to the group work.
Most students (at least 4) contribute positively to the group work.
Some students (2 or 3) contribute positively to the group work.
A few students in the group (1 or 2) contribute in a positive way to the group work.
Students respect and encourage the views of each other. Students ask questions for clarification and listen to each other.
Most students ask questions and listen to others comments.
Students pay attention to the group discussion. Some students ask questions and listen to others comments.
Students frequently interrupt and/or put down the views of others. Students do not ask questions or clarification.
On Task Behavior
Students exhibit on-task behavior consistently.
Most students exhibit on-task behavior most of the time.
Students exhibit on-task behavior some of the time.
Students exhibit ontask behavior inconsistently
Group Behavior
The group completes all tasks on time. Members volunteer to take responsibilities and roles.
Students complete most of the tasks on time. The leader assigns responsibilities and tasks.
With assistance, students rush to complete tasks. Division of tasks and responsibilities is inefficient and wastes time.
Students have difficulty understanding and finishing their tasks after teacher input. Task is not completed on time.
