Each College has Career Programs that may have specific requirements – It is important to check for Math, Science or English courses that may be needed! * Kwantlen is now recognized as a university but still offers many certificate and diploma programs that a college traditionally offers

Second Language Requirements
Language 11 is required for admission to UBC & SFU although SFU will accept Beginner Language 11 (UVic requires Language 11 for admission to Humanities)

Apprenticeship Program Career Technical Centre Work Experience Program Trades Training (ACE-IT)
Apprenticeship Program Students
working part-time in a trade (chef, mechanic, graphic arts…..) are eligible for: 16
credits $1000.00 scholarship if they achieve 67% in Grade 12 and still employed in the trade 6 months after graduation. Students may put their hours worked towards becoming a journeyman in their trade
Career Technical Centre Students
interested in specific programs could attend Kwantlen while also attending high school. – –
Programs include welding, horticulture, auto parts, drafting, and masonry. Community and Health Careers –
ie. Community Support Worker, Special Education Teaching Assistant
Work Experience Program
Students complete 90 hours of work experience and receive 4 credits. Some time outside of school is required for the completion of this course.
