Generations Of Computers

The computers are classified into five generations on the basis of technology u sed ,they work and their size.

• First Generation Computers used vacuume tubes.They were large in size and very expensive.

• Second Generation Computers used transistors.They were smaller in size and less expensive than first generation computers.

• Third Generation Computers used Integrated Circuits(ICs).They were smaller in size than second generation computers and less expensive.

• Fourth generation computers use Microprocessors. These are smaller in size , cheap and easy to handle)

Fifth Generation Computers will be based on Artificial Intelligence Artificial Intelligence:- They will be intelligent like human beings and will use Artificial Intelligence(AI) for working.
