Since January, Gateway has seen 540 women; 48 babies are known to have been born and most importantly, 101 women received Christ as Savior and Lord! We are praising the Lord for His blessings at Gateway in the past few months. We are most pleased and grateful for God’s blessing of about $12,000 raised at the Walk-a-thon on May 30th .

June 2009 “Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near ..So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it..’ (Isaiah 55:6 and 11 NKJV)

Joseph is a pastor fro m Africa. He and his wife, Wisdom came to Gateway while she was pregnant. Joseph jr. is now 3 years old.

Take Note! Our next Gateway Volunteer Training classes July 9,11,16 and 18 and @ Gateway – Irvington Please pray that many who sign up, take the training and fill the many counseling needs we have, especially in Irvington.

All five trainees from our March 2009 session are now counseling men and women in Elizabeth and Irvington.

Father’s Day and ‘Heart Turning”

Tiffany accepts our counseling and makes some changes in her life Tiffany, age 22, came to Gateway in early December 2008. She was seeking the morning after pill. She has two other children. We mentioned to her that we don’t do or refer for abortion. She said the MAP is not an abortion. We corrected her on this. Her test was negative. Muneerah challenged her to abstain and to start attending church. Her church is studying ‘repentance’ and Tiffany is interested. It’s unclear if she has personally trusted Christ as Savior. When Tiffany returned to Gateway this month, Gloria encouraged her to continue to seek the Lord. She and the father of the two children are no longer together. She expressed thanks for what Muneerah had shared with her. She’s decided to abstain until marriage and is working on forgiving family who have hurt her. She is attending church regularly. Emmanuel’s mom was originally abortion minded when she came to Gateway in 2008. Since then she has separated from her abusive husband and is open to the gospel.

Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. Turning the hearts of the fathers to the children is the key to lasting revival. The fathers then train their children and grandchildren to follow the Bible and not follow the world. The revival is not lost in one generation, but the love for the Lord is passed from one generation to the next. God promises us that there will be severe punishment if the hearts of the fathers are not turned to the children and the children to their fathers. In turning the hearts of the fathers to their children, the fathers need to recognize that it is the father that has the primary responsibility for the spiritual training of his children; not the mother, not the church, and not the Sunday school teacher.
