HADITH on Black Magic - Foreteller The Prophet (Sal-lallahu-alaihi-wasallam) said, "Avoid the seven great destructive sins." The people enquire, "O Allah's Apostle! What are they? " He said: To join others in worship along with Allah, to practice sorcery, to kill the life which Allah has forbidden except for a just cause (according to Islamic law), to eat up riba (interest), to eat up an orphan's wealth, to give back to the enemy and fleeing from the battlefield at the time of fighting, & to accuse chaste women, who never even think of anything touching chastity and are good believers." Narrated by Abu Hurairah (Radi Allah Ta'lah Anhu); Vol 4:#28 of Sahih Bukhari.
The Prophet (Sal-lallahu-alaihi-wasallam) said, "There are three who will not enter paradise: one who is addicted to wine, one who breaks ties of relationship, and one who believes in magic (means using it)." Narrated by Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (Radi Allah Ta'lah Anhu); Ahmad transmitted it. 3656 of Mishkat al-Masabih.
The Prophet (Sal-lallahu-alaihi-wasallam) said, "Avoid the Mubiqat, i.e., shirk and witchcraft." Narrated by Abu Hurairah (Radi Allah Ta'lah Anhu); Vol 7:#659 of Sahih Bukhari.
Some people asked Allah's Apostle (Sal-lallahu-alaihi-wasallam) about the foretellers. He said. -They are nothing." They said, O Allah's Apostle (Sal-lallahu-alaihi-wasallam)! Sometimes they tell us of a thing which turns out to be true." Allah's Apostle (Sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said, "A Jinn snatches that true word and pours it into the ear of his friend (the foreteller) (as one puts something into a bottle). The foreteller then mixes with that word one hundred lies." Narrated by Ayesha (Radi Allah Ta'lah Anha); Vol 7:#657 of Sahih Bukhari.
Allah's Apostle (Sal-lallahu-alaihi-wasallam) said, "Whoever comes to fortune-tellers, and ask him about something, his prayer is not accepted for forty nights." Narrated by Hafsah (Radi Allah Ta'lah Anha); Muslim transmitted it. 4595 of Mishkat alMasabih.
Allah's Apostle (Sal-lallahu-alaihi-wasallam) said, "Whoever learns astrology learns a branch of sorcery. He adds what he likes. Narrated by Ibn Abbas (Radi Allah Ta'lah Anhu); Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah transmitted it. 4598 of Mishkat al-Masabih.
Allah's Apostle (Sal-lallahu-alaihi-wasallam) said, "He who eats seven 'Ajwa dates every morning, will not be affected by poison or magic on the day he eats them." Narrated by Saad (Radi Allah Ta'lah Anhu); Vol 7:#356 of Sahih Bukhari.

Narated By Ash-sha'bi : The clerk of Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba narrated, "Muawiya wrote to Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba: Write to me something which you have heard from the Prophet (Blessings of Allah & peace be upon him) ." So Al-Mughira wrote: I heard the Prophet saying, "Allah has hated for you three things: 1. Vain talks, (useless talk) that you talk too much or about others. 2. Wasting of wealth. (by extravagance) 3. And asking too many questions (in disputed religious matters) or asking others for something (except in great need). (See Hadith No. 591, Vol. Ill)
