(part-time) Biographical blurb about teaching background: Cathy R. Fielding earned her M.L.I.S. from the University of Texas at Austin; Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, and is also a graduate of San Antonio College. She has nearly 20 years experience as a teacher and librarian in San Antonio public schools, and taught for three years at the American School in Asuncion, Paraguay. Currently, she is Librarian at Monroe May Elementary, in Northside I.S.D. in San Antonio, Texas - a Dual-Language and ESL campus, with an active partnership with the University of Texas at San Antonio. She joined the staff of Northwest Vista College in October 2007 as an Adjunct Librarian, and works evening and weekend hours - and also during the summer months - where her duties include collection development, teaching information literacy classes, and staffing a busy reference desk.
