Call for Submissions

ME.MY.SELF.EYE QUINQUENNIAL

The B COMPLEX, one of Atlanta’s premier cooperatively owned alternative art spaces, brings back this highly acclaimed, juror awarded self-portrait exhibition. Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP) participating photographers as well as other artists working in all mediums are invited to envision ME.MY.SELF through their own mind’s EYE. All “self-portraits” intersecting the photographic realm and containing some photographic element or material will be considered for the second installment of this quinquennial exhibition. The show will be on view in the B COMPLEX’s 8,000sf main gallery from SEPTEMBER 26th thru OCTOBER 17th, 2009. Artists may submit up to three (3) pieces for consideration in the following format: 1280 x 1280 pixels at 72dpi on CD. 4” x 6” prints are also accepted. Entry fee is $30. Reduced $20 entry available to any artist participating in concurrently running ACP events and to artists willing to fill available 2 hour gallery volunteer positions. (Please contact B Complex directly to inquire about volunteer opportunities). Checks or money orders should be made payable to the B Complex with a S.A.S.E. for return of materials. Please include an image list including your name, title, medium, and dimensions with your entry fee. Acceptance of submissions will be at the sole discretion of the B COMPLEX and determined by the appropriateness to the stated theme. At least one submission per accepted artist will be displayed. The B Complex Gallery will retain a 20% commission on all work sold. Juror awards to include first prize solo show at the B COMPLEX B Up Front Gallery.

Deadline for submissions: Wednesday, September 9, 2009 All accepted work must be received at the gallery framed and ready for display, Monday, September 21 at 5 p.m. Late deliveries may be subject to an additional $25 charge.
