DEFINITION: The safety valve is a device used to drain the necessary fluid flow so that the pressure does not exceed the protected ring element. Its mission is to prevent an explosion, failure of equipment or pipe by excessive pressure. There are also relief valves that release fluid when the temperature exceeds a set limit.

USAGE: Safety valves can be found in industrial, commercial and domestic installations . In general they are required in installations where fluids circulate or remain under pressure changes.

The safety valve operates as follows: the vapor pressure enters the valve and acts on the section of the disc and the nozzle generating a force that opposes the force of the spring or spring . When this force is greater than the force of the spring the valve opens .
