he Town of Estes Park Parks Department is responsible for planting and upkeep of all flora on selected properties within Town limits.
Bond Park

T
he Estes Park Women’s Club founded the Estes Park Public Library in 1916. It moved to its current 17,000 square foot building in 1991, was expanded and renovated in 2002, and recently underwent an interior renovation. Eleven full time staff members including the director, four part time staff and approximately 60 volunteers operate the library on a daily basis. A seven member-based board of trustees, appointed by Larimer County Commissioners and the Estes Park Board of Trustees oversee library operations. The library offers numerous children’s activities and special programs. Public meeting space and free Internet access are also available. Internet access is offered by the half hour and reservations are required. Outreach programs are offered for the homebound, vision or hearing impaired, nursing home patients and local preschools.
The second floor of the library features a rotating collection of artwork from local artists every month. The library’s primary source of funding is district property tax. Other sources include the Friends of the Library, the Library Foundation, fees, grants and donations. The library’s website is frequently updated and offers information on interlibrary loans, schedule of events, checkout renewals and local history and information. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday — September through May. The library opens one hour earlier Monday through Saturday in the summer — June through August.
