Laboratory of Metallurgical Chemistry is a main laboratory at Department of Metallurgy and Materials Universitas Indonesia. On my opinion, it has enough tools and materials for doing both basic chemistry and materials characterization. But, some of the devices like the sulphuric gas maker that sometime leaking, so the sulphuric gas odor can be smelled and some of the small tools like pipette and reaction tube are broken either cracked or holey on the bottom. But overall the laboratory is very usefull for our learning process that we are introduced to the real laboratory experiences and very much make me curious to learn more. One thing that i must advised to the laboratory assistant about the permission to ask for some chemical materials is taking too much time because we must line up and then wait for the assistant on the other room give to us the chemicals, maybe we can do it that the students should make a piece of paper contains what materials they need rather than lining up and wait for some times, it will be waste of times and we can’t complete the attempt properly. Then maybe the result of understanding will be more profound, so the students will make benefit more from the experiments.
