Paterson Governor Executive Chamber State Capitol Albany, NY 12247 Dear Governor Paterson: I know you share my commitment to ensuring that civil rights and legal rights be provided to all groups, especially those powerless groups that have been exploited and abused throughout history. Giving voice to the powerless, providing basic civil and legal rights to all those that have been denied them, whether they be same sex couples or farmworkers. I encourage you to add the Farmworkers Fair Labor Practices Act to the Extraordinary Session Proclamation. With your leadership, we can enact a comprehensive civil rights program to not only provide same sex couples with basic civil and legal rights but which will also overcome the injustices that have plagued exploited farmworkers for decades.
