English programme Rc/30-6-2009 Bc/2-7-2009 Programme: Diving in the sea of literature By: Omayma Al- Reidy Trans :Hala Taha Introduction ============= In today's edition we shall talk about a book entitled 'Believers for thousands years" by yasser Sharaf(the writer) . yasser was born in 1962 ,he worked as tour guide for Italian, English groups and now he is a chief editor and translator in the Egyptian Radio and Television union. The writer says that he has written this book to correct the belief that the ancient Egyptian was disbelievers and pagans. Sharaf starts saying that even since the beginning of the human thinking, man had to answer 3 questions: from where?, how? , and to where? Actually these 3 questions are the essence and motive of thinking. Throughout the ancient ages the human communities has belief in the existents Allah (God) in any form, given that man has always to feel that he lives under the protection of a fair and absolute power. Music ======= The writer presents his vision affirming the identical concept of creation and resurrection in both the Islamic, juice, Christian, and ancient Egyptian religion to prove that all religions has the same concept, principals, orders, with deferent ways, the writer refers to Surat (verse)el Rah man in which we find Allah (God) speaking about the balance with which man's deeds will be measured . This same concept is also formed in the ancient Egyptian book of deed and they called this balance the (balance of justice).

1

They always depicted the dead person while being judged. His heart was placed on one scale and the feather of justice was placed on the other one in order to measure his good and bad deeds. such concept of resurrection and judgment is a basic belief in all the revealed religions ,this makes us assume that many prophets and messengers were sent by Allah(God) to the ancient Egyptians and they were believers and disbelievers with the same principals of all the religions in both the Islamic, juice, Christian, and ancient Egyptian religion to prove that all religions has the same concept, but the priests were fighting against these new religion because it was against their interests , then the writer moves to another issue namely the creation of man . he once again refers to the holy book reading this verse "he created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery), then Sharaf says that if one looks at the walls of Luxor temple, one sees the God Khunum , the god of creation ,while sitting at the pottery 's wheel to create Amenophis 2th and his fellows newly- born babies. The writer also notes a similarity between the story of Abel and Cain, the legend of Seth and Osiers, and the story of Meshoulah and Akhnoukh mentioned in the Torah, and the story of Prophet Noah and the destruction of man hand mentioned in the ancient Egyptian doctrine. All these events prove the continuity and the link between religions. The ancient Egyptians were really concerned abut the essence of creation and therefore one finds many legends related to the beginning of gods and the universe. Then he talks about the legend of Heliopolis city which says that man was created from unformed water known as (Noon) from which deity Atom appeared on a hill known as the 1st hill.

2

Deity Atom who is equal to deity "RA". Then created the twins "Shu" the deity of the air and Tephnut, the deity of humidity, who in their twin created Geb the deity of the earth and Noot the deity of the sky. Geb and Noot then created each of Osiers, Isis, Seth, and Nephtis . Those nine deities thus formed the ennead, the writer then mentions the story of the universe creation mentioned in the first chapter of the Torah: At the beginning Allah (God) created the skies and the land .the land was uncultivated, and dark. Then Allah created light and darkness separated between light and darkness, he made the light appears during the day and the darkness appears during the night, after that he made a barrier in the middle of the water to separate between the water of the upper part and that in the lower part, and thus he created the sky and the land. Then ordered the land to grow herbs, grass and trees. Then in the second day created the sun and the moon and finally he created both males and females. Dear listeners our writer goes on proving that the ancient Egyptians believed in the oneness of Allah (God). This book is a peace and love message for the entire world to live in peace and love without fighting or conflicts because we have the same god, the same father and the same mother.
